Is President Trump ‘Too Afraid’ To Visit Troops In Combat Zones?

The Independent: Donald Trump ‘too afraid’ to visit troops in combat zones, report says

Mr Trump says no other president is 'more with the military' than he is

Donald Trump is reportedly too “afraid” to visit American troops in combat zones.

The comment was made in private to aides after several news outlets began questioning why the president had not made time to visit soldiers as previous presidents have done in Afghanistan, where the US is still at war, and Iraq.

An unnamed official told the Washington Post: “He’s never been interested in going. He’s afraid of those situations. He’s afraid people want to kill him.”

WNU Editor: I would not recommend President Trump to visit a war zone. The U.S. military presence is not what it use to be in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, and as we learned last month, even top four-star U.S. Generals are at risk to being killed.... New details of top US general's close call in Afghanistan insider attack (ABC News). But there are many other places where President Trump can go and make his presence felt with U.S. troops, and he should do it with more regularity.

Update: I am not the only one who thinks President Trump should avoid war-zones .... Mattis Says He Has Cautioned Trump Not To Visit War Zones (Task & Purpose).

@WNU

1. as the commander in chief he should visit the troops for a) morale and b) appreciation
2. the US can and should be able to establish a safe zone. If they cannot, then the war is lost and we should not leave our sons and daughters in harms way

It is a matter of principle and I do not care if he is too afraid (which I don't say he is). A leader must lead, and sometimes that may require to go to a zone that might be scary

Can Trump visit Iraq?

No! The situation deteriorated since Obama feckessly and recklessly pulled out in 2011. It has been shown that Obama negotiated a new SOFA with the Iraqi government in bad faith. There was no need for a pullout.

Iran assisted the 911 hijackers. They would take a shot at the president, any American president, if they had it.

In Afghanistan Obama declared victory in 2011. The situation has deteriorated. since 2011. Pakistan is supporting the Taliban. Pakistani ISI agents have been captured in Afghanistan, who were working with the Taliban.

The Taliban is winning and the situation is getting worse. Pakistan is too blame.

"Then out of the blue, we rolled up a female Pakistani intelligence agent page." 67

Don't forget the airlift of evil. Where did the rats scurry to? To Pokiston.

The US cannot win in Afghanistan. The Taliban, Iran, Pakistan, China, and Russia are arrayed against it and the US is not on a war footing.

The population is divided, so we cannot fight. We have more commutards in the US than in Russia and China combined. For example Occassia-Cortex with her freshly minted economics degree that she was given is proposing a command and control economy.
