Todd South, Military Times: Why a self-reliant Iraqi military may take ‘years, if not decades’ and could require a ‘generation’ to reform

Despite reports that the Islamic State terrorist group has lost 99 percent of its territory and shifted to insurgent tactics in Iraq and Syria, a recent report said an enduring defeat of the organization could take “years, if not decades.”

This, according to Department of Defense information provided to investigators with the DoD Inspector General, is in large part due to what is still needed to make Iraqi security forces “self-reliant.”

It would be moire truthful to say that it will take a generation or more for Iraq to recover from the US invasion and occupation. Everything else, including the existence of ISIS in the first place, is a function of that ill-starred adventure.

The US presence was opposed by Iran.

Carli makes no mention of that fact.

Revolutions, revolts and insurgences are often financed in part or in whole by outsiders although they might not initiate these revolts.

The American revolution was financed by France, Spain and the good citizens of Habana, Cuba.

Yes, Habana, Cuba met the Continental Army payroll.

The insurgency would not have been any where near as dire from 2004 to 2008 except for Syria and Iran.

So Carl stuff it; shut and sit down loser.

We can hear the talking points you gave from any American socialist ad naseum. you add nothing but noise and stupidity.
