US President Donald Trump and his administration are under increasing pressure to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for Khashoggi's death
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday it would take a "handful more weeks" before the United States has enough evidence to impose any sanctions in response to the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last month.
Pompeo, in an interview with KMOX radio in St. Louis, said President Donald Trump had made it clear Washington would respond to the killing. He said the administration is "reviewing putting sanctions on the individuals that we have been able to identify to date that ... were engaged in that murder."

WNU Editor: All roads lead to the Crown Prince Salman, but it is clear that the U.S. does not want to go down this road. So delay is the policy right now, and a hope that Saudi Arabia can get its house in order.

Now that I know more of this guy's mindset, ie muzlim brotherhood and a few other unpleasantries, the only aspect of this tempest in a teapot that is bothersome is that a government did it. Like the Russians and their poisons, the NVA in Hue, the Taliban in Afghanistan, etc. What is behind this demise of one individual compared to thousands from governments in the past? He's no hero in my book from what I now know of him. My understanding is that terror against civilians was an official tactic of the Viet Cong and NVA and was used to intimidate. Just like other muzlims do today. Like our taking out that guy who slept through history class, bin Laden. Why is this demise of the Washington post guy getting such attention?
