Zero Hedge: The Inside Story Behind Trump's "Shocking" Withdrawal From Syria
In a report that essentially confirms what Secretary Mattis only insinuated in his letter of resignation, the Associated Press offered an account sourced from anonymous US and Turkish officials that appears to confirm all of President Trump's hawkish critics' worst fears about his landmark decision to withdraw US forces from Syria: Namely, that it was made seemingly on a whim, without consulting his national security team, during a phone call with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The play-by-play of the call, which was strenuously denied by White House officials, who implied that the account had been planted by Turkish agents who were seeking to undermine the president (though they neglected to specify which details in the account were untrue).

WNU Editor: The White House is vehemently denying this AP story, which can be read here .... Trump call with Turkish leader led to US pullout from Syria (Miami Herald/AP). As to what is my take on the AP story .... I have doubts that it is true. Leaving Syria was one of President Trump's campaign promises, and he only stayed in Syria because the defense and intelligence establishment told him that they had to stay there to defeat ISIS. That battle is now almost over, and ISIS is a shadow of it's former self. The AP's argument that President Trump made his decision "on a whim" ignores President Trump's consistent message for the past two and a half years that the U.S. cannot stay in these countries forever.

So did the AP get it wrong by accident, bad sources with agendas, or did the AP do this on purpose?
How often does the AP get stories wrong on purpose or otherwise?
The press even gets simple local stories wrong on purpose.
There was a story of a murder without a gun in a parking lot. There were no names and no pictures. The press stopped the pictures 1st. Now the slow learners and bad liars of the press are stopping names. People can figure out ethnicity from names. So people figure out ethnicity calculating from the time a story breaks until they learn of a name. It is not a foolproof method, but it has a very high rate of prediction.
Heck, the press did not so much as give a motive. The motive was supplied by the location (drugs were not the motive). So what use is the press? They slant stories in an attempt to mould societies and history.
From the press I must learn that Democrats more often than Republicans do not stray from their vows. I learned this from the DC Madam scandal and how that played out. The justice department and the press were weaponized for political gain. In the end nothing was gained, but they tried.
The press is full of lies.
The press do that in Sweden too..
