BBC: France protests: Government fears 'major violence' in coming days
The French government says it fears "major violence" in Paris on Saturday as the national "yellow vests" protest movement shows little sign of easing.
The Eiffel Tower is to close along with many shops, restaurants and museums and thousands more police will be on duty.
The government said it was scrapping the fuel tax increases in its budget - the original spark for the protests.
But broader discontent with the government has spread, and protests have erupted over several other issues.

WNU Editor: The above video is interesting. Most of the protestors are middle aged or older. When this population goes against you, your government is in trouble.

If Canada wasn’t so large this is the group that wold be protesting in Montreal. (Albertans) and others from around the country. Protected by distance.
It’s healthy for a democracy to have the govt running in fear from an aggrieved citizenry.

I recall a certain Canadian leader telling a certain Saudi leader that he was "worried " about something the Saudi leader was alleged to have done. Body language pretty much said it all. The Saudi leader knew what a complete idiot the French leader is.
Now the French leader is faced with even bigger problems that his idiot self has no idea how to handle and I'm pretty sure the Saudi leader won't help him. This French leader needs to rearrange his priorities. Maybe he needs to focus on the needs of his countrymen and women and maybe he needs to call off his plans to invade America. (America isn't going to invade France or western Europe. The only reason to defend against America would be if you plan to harm us and are concerned about the countermeasures we might take to protect our families from your aggression. By bringing this up you revealed your intentions.) Predictions: the Saudi leader will be in power long after the French leader is out of power in spite of much tougher and brutal opposition faced by the Saudi leader.
On the plus side for said French leader, he likely won't face beheading as the leaders of France faced during the French Revolution. Of course double or triple down on the current stupid policies who knows. Perhaps the people you foolishly not only let into your country but gave red carpet treatment to will kill your children.
Oh wait!! You chose not to have children and there probably aren't loved ones you care about. If you had children and/or loved ones you cared about, your response would likely be different. You'd probably have supported the Saudi leader in his fight agsinst the "journalist." Since you don't have children and are an idiot, you are "worried" about what a Saudi leader may or may not have done.
