Politicians from Iraq’s parliament called for vote to expel US forces and promised to schedule session to debate the matter.

Iraqi lawmakers have demanded US forces leave the country in the wake of a surprise visit by Donald Trump, which politicians denounced as arrogant and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

Politicians from both blocs of Iraq’s divided parliament called for a vote to expel US troops and promised to schedule an extraordinary session to debate the matter.

“Parliament must clearly and urgently express its view about the ongoing American violations of Iraqi sovereignty,” said Salam al-Shimiri, a lawmaker loyal to the populist cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

"Our president did not even meet or call their president!

Trump calls the Iraqi president and the Iraqi president calls the Ayatollah Khamenei.

I suppose Trump had to give the Iraqi SHIA president a heads up. Helicoptering into the Green zone could be hazardous.

At night helicopters are targeted visa doppler effect by noncombatants.

So is Trump that unpopular or is Iraq & the Shia regime that dangerous? Maybe the problem is that the Shia president did not feel safe going a few miles to Al Taji airfield or a little further to Balad. Could it be that the Shia give the Kurds and Sunni a triangular deal since 2008? They feel emboldened to fuck with non-Shia, since Obama was intent studying his feet and the Iranian Shia backed them.

when in doubt, cite Obama! moronic
I am not sure why Iraq wants us out but suspect leader felt insulted...well we are giving up that entire region to Russia and Iran anyway.

why not Japan, S. Korea, Spain, Africa, England, Italy, etc? distribute troops to Ft Dix, Hood, Lee etc and save money and have troops spend in America!

"When in doubt, cite Obama! "

GWB called the Iraqi president everyday. Obama studied his feet. With GWB call the Iraqi president or PM everyday he is less likely to stick it to the Kurds and Sunnis and this grow Al Qaeda, which is what happened after Obama took over.

GWB had Al Qaeda on the ropes in Iraq and then Obama gave them a breathing spell. THX OBAMA!

Big difference between AL Qaeda in 2008 and 2014. What happened. Oh yeah, Obama. Don't step in it.

"Politicizing the Military Is Uniformly Wrong"

Trump’s visit to U.S. troops was marred by overtly political rhetoric. That’s not normal—but his defenders don’t care.

Leaving Iraq will be an other good thing. Less money there, more money here for weapons.
