WNU Editor: I was originally not going to post anything on  Russian writer, dissident, and Nobel Laureate Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. He is no longer remembered in the West, and his works are regarded to be too deep and too long to be read. But he is not forgotten in Russia, and IMHO he will be remembered 100 years from now. Hat tip to reader James who did remember his 100th birthday.

Solzhenitsyn was one of my favorite authors. The Gulag Archipelago was key to the collapse of the Soviet Union. Putin conveniently forgets that.

The clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson (who's a bonafide youtube star) brings Solzhenitsyn in nearly every one of his talks. By my estimation, Solzhenitsyn is experiencing a rebirth.
