The US had to go into Afghanistan in some manner shape or form.

Osama bin Coward had to be brought to justice or wiped out on the battlefield. The Taliban refused to turn him over.

The very least the US had to do was hit Osama with cruise missiles or an arc strike and give a lot of aid to the Northern alliance. Anything less would make America look weak be weak and invite further attack.

Little known fact is that the jihadis are not just attacking America, but everyone who is not them. The Christmas before 9/11 there was a large plot to hit Strasbourg. It being the Winter of 2000/2001 why would the jihadis hit the Christmas Market of Strasbourg and try to kill as many French and Germans as they could?

The azzwipes knew what they were doing. They were hitting the largest Christmas Fair/Market in Europe. The city of Strassbourg is a very important city in the EU organization. the French and Germans got lucky. the preempted the attack with raid. Other wise the death toll would have been in the hundreds.

But liberals do not remember history. They remember historiography. They are stupid that way. They only believe what they want to believe. Real droolers.

Among the findings were several pressure cookers

A video was also discovered, howing a crowded Christmas market in Strasbourg, with a voiceover in Arabic calling the people in the video "enemies of Allah."

Members of the Frankfurt group were found to have trained in al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan, to have connections to Islamist networks in Spain, Italy, Belgium and the United Kingdom, and to the Algerian terrorist group Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC).

The discovery of the plot in Frankfurt led to further arrests in the United Kingdom, where another plot of killing members of the European Parliament was discovered, in which MEPs
were to be killed with sarin nerve gas during session in Strasbourg in February 2001.

According to the Frankfurt court, the group had planned to blow up pressure cookers packed with explosives, as they had learned in training camps in Afghanistan.

The target was reported to have been the Christmas market at the Strasbourg Cathedral on New Year's Eve.

The target was said to have been chosen deliberately for its Christian symbolism

AQ-funded camps trained between 10,000 and 20,000 fighters between 1996 and 2001.

Meanwhile President Clinton was on the job and busy inserting Cigars and other things into intern(s). Hillary was standing by her man. She really needed him to become a carpetbagger and be hand the New York Senatorial seat.

The Hillary stood by her man so that she could become Secretary of State, while Bill was busy with the energizer bunny and taking Lolita flights to Orgy Island. Now it is true he was not interested in the orgies, he only wanted to take in that tropical air. nothing else HONEST!

Such is the life of a Democrat.

Rand Paul has often been a voice of sanity. Agree with him or disagree with him he is spot on in his assessment that Trump was hailed as an unstable war monger.

Here he is now ending the war in Syria. He's actually pulled off a twofer here. He's gettibg us out preserving our strength and he's getting the Saudis and the UAE to back up the Kurds. The Kurds are now in a better position than they were or would have been. He's also had a constructive conversation with the Turkish leader. The Turkish leader is probably quite concerned with these developments as his goal of Kurdish genocide will now likely be much more difficult.

I haven't had time to read the article. I'm assuming Senator Paul means Afghanistan as the second war. There does seem to be a plan to scale back which is good.

I think North Korea needs to be mentioned. While much work remains to be done, there's been a huge reduction in tensions. As the only new variable to this, I think it reasonable to conclude POTUS deserves the lions share of the credit for this.

Then there's Russia. Based upon the body language of the Russian leadership they respect and even fear Trump. This has likely kept a bad situation from getting worse and as part of the Syria redeployment plan the Saudis, Israelis, and Jordanians working in concert with Russia are going to act to curtail Iran in Syria. This effort took some time to put together and can only work because the Russians respect Trump.

Trump has done more than any US president in living nemory to advance the cause of peace. Not bad for a supposed unstable warmonger.

Da Comrade, again NOTHING of value to contribute.

Essentially as I point out Trump has done more to tamp down conflict around the world than any of his predecesdors. I cite examples. Furthermore the respect the Russian leadership has for him has kept a bad situation from being worse. Frankly due to fracking and tough sanctions on Russia he's been Putin's worst nightmare. Are you suggesting we continue with the same failed policies? Apparently so.

If you have something productive to cintribute, a counter argument perhaps, please do so. I'm all eyes. Very respectfully with the da Comrade comment you don't come across as a very serious person.

Very disrespectfully, a person who has been consistently pro-Russian to the point of climax is not to be taken seriously.
