Former Secretary of State John Kerry To President Trump: 'Resign'

CNBC: John Kerry told an audience at Davos that President Donald Trump should resign

 * John Kerry said President Donald Trump should resign while speaking on a CNBC panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
 * The former secretary of State lamented that Trump "doesn't take any of this seriously" before calling for his resignation.
 * Trump, along with a delegation of government officials, was scheduled to travel to Davos but canceled due to the ongoing government shutdown.

John Kerry had a one-word answer when asked his message for President Donald Trump: "Resign."

The former secretary of State and Democratic U.S. senator from Massachusetts made the declaration while speaking on a CNBC panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Kerry, who lost in his bid to become president in 2004, first hesitated to answer the question, lamenting that Trump "doesn't take any of this seriously" before calling for his resignation.

A White House spokesman did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment on Kerry's remark.

so what? Our govt is closed down. Who said he took responsibility for it?
who refuses to budge and keeps govt closed? who says he is great deal maker? the economic impact now going world-wide.
my point: why does one statement like this get your all worked up? You never get worked up on the daily nutty stuff said by Trump

Kerry is one person. From one party. The GOP all despise the Dems, it seems...you let your political biases make a big thing of something hardly newsworthy or significant
MEANWHILE:
Trump’s new favorite poll actually contains almost nothing but bad news for him
Trump is cherry-picking one number from a survey indicating his reelection prospects are very much in doubt.
Trump sees the wall as a monument to himself
Trump says he directed Sarah Sanders ‘not to bother’ with White House press briefings
Trump sitting out Davos summit where technological change, inequality loom large
Analysis: President Donald Trump is sitting out this marquee event, seemingly another example of his "America First" administration disengaging from the world.

Russ
Trump said he proudly owns shutdown
Does not open it up
Polls all show public blames trump and not freshmen dems

Listen to Tom, Fred. He says much more.

btw - I hold Trump responsible for the shut down. And I hope he holds the hard line.

Frankly I wouldn't even know there WAS a shut down except for the progressive shrieking on various media. I'm not dependent on government in any way.

BTW - of the 800K furloughed fed workers 90% of them are Democrats. And they all vote as a block. Trump's losing now sleep over this and neither am I.

https://kfgo.com/news/articles/2019/jan/22/peterson-says-democrats-should-give-trump-the-money-for-border-wall/

"FARGO (KFGO) - Minnesota Democratic Congressman Collin Peterson is telling his Democratic colleagues to approve President Trump's request for funding a wall on the southern border.

On KFGO's "News & Views," Peterson said approving Trump's request could help bring an end to an "unnecessary" government shutdown.

“Give Trump the money” Peterson said. “I’d give him the whole thing…and put strings on it so you make sure he puts the wall where it needs to be. Why are we fighting over this? We’re going to build that wall anyway, at some time.”

You mean democrats refuse to budge?

fred said...

no. Means give him what he wants for shutdown and he will use that again and again to get what he wants.
Trump said he proudly owned the shutdown...and Americans know this as fact now

See, there you Lefties go assigning motives. Which have proven you wrong again and again. (just over the last couple days in fact)

Trump will not lead another shut down. He won't have to. The Dem base that occupies the 800K fed workers will howl at their urban district Congress Critters to end this crap. And they will.

Trump said he's take the mantel of the shut down, it but its in the Democrat court now. The afflicted are all their constituency.

Considering everything that just went on with the Covington Catholic kids, how they've been getting death threats, protesters, and having stones thrown at them. How the media is STILL lying about it even after being called out on there Bull.

No mr. Kerry, Trump shouldn't resign. You and you're ilk should be SHOT.
