DW: German military lacks equipment and recruits, says damning report
The German Bundeswehr is still underequipped, understaffed and overly bureaucratic, a new parliamentary report has revealed. Opposition politicians also say it is ignoring its problem with far-right extremism.
German soldiers sometimes have to rely on civilian helicopters to transport them around in Afghanistan, while vital equipment such as body armor has to be borrowed, according to the parliament's new Bundeswehr report presented to the government on Tuesday.
The annual study also detailed a rise in reports of sexual harassment and some instances of far-right extremism among soldiers.
"I'd like to report: It's spring, everything will be new. But the truth is: It's still winter," the report's author, Bundestag military commissioner Hans-Peter Bartels, said as he presented the document at a press conference in Berlin.

They do not want to spend what they do now on any army, so why did they say it (happy talk)?
1) To divert attention away fro bad news.
a) For France that would be the bad economy, double digit unemployment, low approval #s

b) For Germany that would be immigration, the shit shape (not ship shape) of the
military
2) It further centralizes control for them over Southern and Eastern Europe

The presence of nukes and the ability to deliver them in various countries around the world suggests an aggressor would face total annihilation should they invade a country using tradition military strategies, that has nukes, or, has the protection of a country that has nukes.
The possibility of the complete destruction of humanity when after that first nuke hits home and everyone jumps into the game tends to keep aggressors nibbling at the edges. Accordingly the old traditional arms race continues to the gleeful benefit of the WIC.
A nuclear holocaust will happen, there should be no doubt about that. The only question is when. Likely it will happen, not when some major power launches the devastation but when some lowlife terrorist group acquires a bomb, or, three and the ability to set them off in the capitals of the majors.
Therefore the real danger is perhaps in the development and support of small groups of dissatisfied citizens of various countries and ethnic groups, who then gain the potential of developing into a major force, so the WIC can make more money, and who with the support of people who want to see the destruction of mankind, perhaps believing they will survive the holocaust, create the holocaust.
