BuzzFeed: President Trump Directed His Attorney Michael Cohen To Lie To Congress About The Moscow Tower Project
Trump received 10 personal updates from Michael Cohen and encouraged a planned meeting with Vladimir Putin.
President Donald Trump directed his longtime attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, according to two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter.
Trump also supported a plan, set up by Cohen, to visit Russia during the presidential campaign, in order to personally meet President Vladimir Putin and jump-start the tower negotiations. “Make it happen,” the sources said Trump told Cohen.
And even as Trump told the public he had no business deals with Russia, the sources said Trump and his children Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. received regular, detailed updates about the real estate development from Cohen, whom they put in charge of the project.

WNU Editor: The problem with this story are many. One .... we should not forget that it is Buzzfeed that pushed the Steele Dossier story (that has since been discredited by Steele himself who also condemned BuzzFeed for publishing it), but a document that helped pushed the establishment of the Mueller investigation .... Ex-British Spy Admits That His 'Dirty' Dossier On Trump Was Not Verified (April 26, 2017). And now .... two years later .... the same website is publishing another unverified story, which is now being used by Congressional Democrats to push for another full investigation.

Second point .... the former White House counsel says he had "no involvement with or knowledge of Michael Cohen’s testimony. Nor was he aware of anyone in the White House Counsel’s Office who did.". So who are the lawyers that prepared Michael Cohen's testimony? Third. The Trump Tower Project was not a secret. Even President Trump mentioned that this was one of many projects that he wanted to pursue in the event that he had lost the election. So why should he tell his lawyer to lie about it, that many already knew about it? Fourth .... Buzzfeed says that this info is coming from two anonymous sources. Sadly .... I have learned in the past two years that these anonymous sources are usually proven to be wrong. But the impact of this story is already being used politically. As predicted. The Democrats are using this unverified and unsubstantiated story to launch a full investigation.

1. the source: a tabloid, yes. Perhaps wrong. yes. But if Cohen testifies under oath, as he says he will, then there will be, I have learned, be more than words but also evidence...and, similarly, Muller probably has some too.
2. sources may be anon at this point. They will not be in testimony before Congress committee
3. Trump has again violated the law by trying intimidation, threatening or suggesting that Cohen's father-in-law should be investigated. That has been noted
4. as in all things, my position is simple: let him who makes a charge prove it...It is then too early to dismiss it since Cohen has not yet had a chance to verify things

Like the Russian dossier we are repeating history.
Those who hate President Trump are hoping to nail him on a process crime, something that WNU has been pointing out consistently for the past two years, and which I predict will continue for the next two years.
As BuzzFeed explains, the evidence did not originate from Cohen. Cohen merely confirmed what Mueller discovered through other sources: “The special counsel’s office learned about Trump’s directive for Cohen to lie to Congress through interviews with multiple witnesses from the Trump Organization and internal company emails, text messages, and a cache of other documents. Cohen then acknowledged those instructions during his interviews with that office.”
Cormier tells CNN he has more sourcing for the report, beyond the two sources he confirmed Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress:

As I have said before Fred,
I have lost count on how many times unconfirmed sources have been proven wrong in the past. In the case of BuzzFeed, as everyone learned after the Steele Russian dossier fiasco two years later, doubly so.
On a side note. It was Michael Cohen who sued Buzzfeed on the Russian dossier story that alleged he was involved, but dropped it when criminal charges were levied against him by the New York courts.
and as I have always said: I wait for questioning under oath when hearings take place...and that will be fairly soon.

No. He is a liar. So too Trump. Cohen hoped to be pardoned by Trump. Clearly that is not happening. So now he will testify under oath,which means whatever sentence he has could, if he lies and is caught in that, would have time added to his sentence. Why then risk that by lying? Again, Trump supporters always deny well in advance and dismiss any and all claims...Those in opposition all say: let us see how this plays out with evidence, under oath before we make a judgement.
