Russian investigative agencies have indicted US Marine veteran Paul Whelan for spying, and he now faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted, Interfax reported on Thursday.
'An indictment has been presented. Whelan dismisses it,' an informed source reportedly told the Russian news agency.
Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officials detained Whelan in Moscow on suspicion of spying on December 28.

Caught with flash drive with names of agents? What a phony story. Common. If you had a list like this, it would be encrypted like fuck, taking days if not weeks to decrypt - unless of course, you'd dedicate a lot of computing power to that single cause, it could be done in hours (unless they found a backway in, which is entirely possible, but it really looks suspicious.. think of it.. you are an american agent and the most precious thing, names of fellow agents on a drive?, is somehow in your possession and relatively easily accessible to Moscow? Common... it would never be on such an obvious device as a flash drive to begin with.. heck, I store my porn collection more reliably and safely ;-)
The US arrets Russians and Chinese citizens willy nilly and ecpect no retaliation? In which world? They instructed the arrest of the Huawei executive in Canada and in the process will put the lives of innocent Americans abroad at risk
