The Guardian: Turkey says it will launch Syria offensive if US delays pullout
Foreign minister warns US not to put off exit with ‘excuses’ about Turks massacring Kurds
Turkey will launch an offensive against Syrian Kurdish forces if the US delays the withdrawal of its troops from Syria, the foreign minister has said.
“If the [pullout] is put off with ridiculous excuses like Turks are massacring Kurds, which do not reflect the reality, we will implement this decision,” Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu told NTV television.
Turkey and the US are at loggerheads over the future of Syrian Kurdish forces after the US president, Donald Trump, made a surprise announcement last month to withdraw 2,000 troops from Syria.

That would be the last mistake by the current Turkish government.🤔
Turkey so far is all talk on its Euphrates announcements. To invade that part of Syria they will be in mountainous terrain very favorable to the Kurds. They will destroy their NATO membership and alliance with the USA. They will invite Assad to make common cause with the Kurds and attack the invaders. They will be more vulnerable to Russian intimidation since Turkey started the invasion and would have no grounds to ask for NATO Article 5 help and wouldn't get it anyway. Once his forces were stalemated or withdrawn, the Syrian Kurds would likely have much greater autonomy from Damascus, to Turkey's misfortune.
Bluster and bluff.
We are leaving. No we are not. Well, we may be. But we will leave assets there. Perhaps.
Keep em guessing, I like it!

Turkey is the Sec. Pompeo of countries. All hot air and no substance.
I would say that if Turkey goes after the Kurds it would be a good opportunity for a massive Assad offensive in Idlib to go after the jihadis.
We could boycott Thanksgiving and not eat turkey
Turkey or at least its leadership is rapidly becoming the world's craziest country. Turkey may be getting new leadership and "regime change" won't be led or carried out by the US. Personally I think the Turkish government will pribably come to its senses before this happens.
