How is that they find and kill 52 Neanderthals after they attack?
Sure, sure Al Shabab might have or would have concentrated for an attack and there fore presented an opportunity not otherwise present.
But it crosses my mind that there is not much interest in prosecuting the war and it is on the back burner. After an ambush 'something' had to be done so they got a little aggressive and then will dial it back to a slow burn.
The usual thing is to cordon an area and tighten the noose if you have enough troops. Mongols did this with their hunts. they could not have invented it. Point is that it has been around for a long time. It is not rocket science.
