Daily Mail: Six and Counting: Tom Brady and the Patriots come to life in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIII to break a defensive stalemate with the Rams and earn the team's sixth NFL title with a 13-3 victory
* Tom Brady and the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, in Super Bowl LIII
* The title is Brady's sixth, which is a record for an NFL player, and for the team, which tied the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most among all NFL franchises
* Brady's first Super Bowl win came against the then-St. Louis Rams in 2002
* Prior to the game, soul singer Gladys Knight sang the Star-Spangled Banner and Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long was named NFL Man of the Year. Maroon 5 performed at halftime
* The Rams and Patriots ranked second and fifth, respectively, in offensive yards during the regular season, but the two teams combined for nine first-half punts
* Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had 93 receiving yards in the first half, outgaining the Rams' offense by himself. Los Angeles had 78 first-half yards . Edelman was ultimately awarded the Super Bowl MVP award
* Chants of 'Brady! Brady!' could be heard as Brady took the field in the fourth. He responded with two scoring drives that helped secure the 13-3 win
* The Rams, who averaged 32.9 points a game this season, joined the Miami Dolphins —from Super Bowl 6 in 1972— as the only the second team not to muster a touchdown in the title game
* The Super Bowl title was Boston's first major sports championship in 98 days. Including the Patriots' Super Bowl win over St. Louis Rams in 2002, Boston has won 12 major sports titles in the last 17 years
The ninth Super Bowl performance of Tom Brady's illustrious career was hardly his best, but with Patriots fans chanting his last name in the fourth quarter on Sunday night in Atlanta, the 41-year-old quarterback engineered a pair of crucial drives that helped New England secure a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams to earn a sixth Lombardi Trophy.
'I can't wait to spend some time with my family and my kids and my wife [Gisele Bundchen],' Brady told CBS' Jim Nantz while holding his daughter Vivian after throwing for 262 yards to win his sixth NFL title. 'I couldn't do it without their support. It's just been a great year. I'm so happy for my teammates. This is a dream come true for all of us.'
