Kit Up!/Military.com: Gun Maker Calls Marines 'Crayon Eaters' in Viral Facebook Post
Heckler & Koch may be making and delivering thousands of M27 infantry automatic rifles to the Marine Corps, but that's not going to stop the company from taking a few jabs at jarheads.
The U.S. branch of the German weapons maker is executing a contract, inked in April 2018, to deliver up to 15,000 M27s to the Marine Corps. The rifles, previously fielded in smaller quantities to replace the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, are now replacing M4 carbines for many infantry Marines.
Most Marines love the fully automatic, more accurate M27. But the feeling may not be completely mutual, judging from a post Tuesday on the H&K Facebook page.

It’s not really mainstream, but the crayon meme especially became popular a couple years ago within the military. At least from my point of view.
If I was in the Pentagon I would cancel their contract and reissue it to Sig.

When I was in Iceland, many moons ago, the Marines were called the Mob that Jogs In the Fog. Much more appropriate, I think.
