Senior security official in Tehran says ‘calculated measures’ will by used as a deterrent to prevent further attacks on ally.

A senior Iranian defense official warned on Tuesday that his country will hit back at Israel if it continues to carry out airstrikes in Syria.

So while Israel clearly outmatches Iran in many categories and has the back of the USA on top (at least under Trump, never sure what the next president does..but typically Israel can rely on the US), there's a limit to everything.

Iran at one point will have lost so many people and might have been bitchslapped just too often by Israel that they might try something new, something we haven't thought of yet.

Humiliation on the world stage is a powerful motivator and I would never underestimate any nation's resolve to get what they deem is fair payback...to settle a score. ..especially such a public score between rivaling nations that borders on all out war..

knowing a few Iranians myself, I can tell you they can be quite ingenuous and determined... so it's in all our interest to make sure not to just fall for the easy Iranian=evil regime trap. There might be a bigger war here than any of us want and the weapons dealers of this world will be itching for their next fix.

Trump could really deliver - in my opinion - if he somehow managed to bring this Iranian regime to a more normal behaviour, and most importantly help the Iranian people live a freer life with better access to opportunities. There are really bright people over there and Iran just a few decades ago was an awesome place with lots of opportunity. .but now. ...
