WNU Editor: I have been following Michael Yon for almost 15 years, and he is one of the reasons why I started this blog. I wanted to write like him. But this is one of the most critical commentaries that I have read from him in years. He is clearly no fan of Gen. Stanley McChrystal. As for Gen. Stanley McChrystal's new book, here is a review from Military Times .... Gen. Stanley McChrystal: 5 takeaways on leadership (Todd South, Military Times).

Yon: on has praised several media agencies he has worked with, saying "The journalists for places like the New York Times and Wall Street Journal are actually very good with their facts."[15] Oh my! not fake MSM...and he also says elsewhere that Obama a lot tougher than many think he is.
No one here has disputed the WSJ that I have seen. Nor has Trump that I know of.
WNU has said the NYT has generally good foreign reporting, but naitonally it was another story, if I have that correctly.
There more than a few reporters at the NYT. So when Yon says the NYT has some good reporters, surely he does not mean all of them or maybe even most of them.
Also, being a lot tougher than 0 is not saying a lot. A gazillion times zero is still zero.
I guess that's where the WNE gets his 'sucking up' :P
