WNU Editor: A few American readers have been asking me on what do I think about this .... Democrats speechless as scandal engulfs Virginia’s leaders (AP). Besides rolling my eyes, I am not surprised. And as for the media coverage of this story .... which is to ignore/downplay/or obfuscate .... also not surprised. My prediction is that this story is going to percolate for the next few days, and the hope is that the outrage will dissipate when another big news story makes the headlines. But what I do find surprising is the rush among many Democrats to embrace this .... Green New Deal: Ocasio-Cortez unveils bold plan to fight climate change (The Guardian). This proposal to prohibit air-travel, rebuild every building in the U.S., Medicare for all, jobs for all, the elimination of oil/gas/coal, and to pay for all of this is by printing money .... is supported and co-sponsored by sixty members of the House, nine senators , and several presidential candidates.This may gather some votes among the young, the radical left, and the media .... but it is electoral suicide if it is on the ballot box. So why be so open about it? Your answer is as good as mine.

Does this just stink of a party who has no message and wants to give away free stuff in order to maintain power?? Yes it does, and THANK GOD the adults in this country will not stand for this.

What Ms. AOC is neglecting to understand is by killing the fossil fuel industry, she kills all businesses dependent upon fossil fuels such as the panty hose industry, cosmetics industry, bra industry, feminine hygiene industry, plastics industry. Women will return to the early 1900's for their intimate gear or outer wear. Kind of like wearing white all the time because there are no cheap color agents with petroleum gone.

The dark comedy going on in VA is utterly delicious to me. Racism and rape writ large in the Democrat party. Line of succession panic. I've lived in the US all my life, went to all kinds of parties and events - all over the country - I've NEVER seen in person anyone in "Blackface". And its funny how all the Blase Ford supporters are silent and doubtful about Professor Tyson re: her accusation of sex assault by Fairfax. Hypocrites and liars all.
Re the NGD, I heard it described today as a socialist manifesto. Which it is. AOC's NPR interview showed her for the budding authoritarian that she is. Its hoped by many Dems that the NGD will be their 2020 agenda. Although Pelosi already shivved it out of hand in a presser today. I think the Dems have a big problem on their hands with their freshman class and their constituencies. They could split the party. Which would be wonderful.
