The emphasis on long-range, guided munitions should please critics of Pentagon's war-planning. Experts have warned that in combat with a high-tech foe, U.S. forces quickly would run out of ammo.
"The [fiscal year] 2020 budget funds preferred munitions at the maximum production rate," the office of acting defense secretary Patrick Shanahan stated.

WNU Editor: Even with this buildup, I can easily see the U.S. going through their missile stockpile very quickly in any major peer-to-peer conflict.

Of course Russia and China have unlimited supplies! LOL!
First hypersonic missiles fly towards us and that will be it, won't have to worry about anything after that.
I heard a quote attributed to JFK during a war of words when Khrushchev said something along the lines of 'we have the ability to shoot down a fly' and JFK responded with 'we can shoot down a fly too, the question though is, which fly are you going to shoot down?' more or less.
And I'm not worried at all hahaha😝
