Democrats Angry Over U.S. Attorney General Barr's Remark That U.S. Agencies Spied On President Donald Trump’s 2016 Campaign

Reuters: U.S. attorney general's 'spying' remarks anger Democrats

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General William Barr said on Wednesday he would look into whether U.S. agencies illegally spied on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, bringing criticism from Democrats who accused him of promoting a conspiracy theory.

Barr, who was appointed by Trump, is already facing criticism by congressional Democrats for how he has handled the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report into the Russia probe and his comments about surveillance brought more derision from Democratic senators.

His testimony echoed longstanding allegations by Trump and Republican allies that seeks to cast doubt on the early days of the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election in an apparent attempt to discredit Mueller, law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

I remember more than a year ago, when the story of spying on the presidential campaign of DJT started, how on CNN anchors BULLIED their guests into saying this wasn't spying.

I think this is where ultimately the story will go and the left will not want to hear it.. under Obama, spying on the opponent presidential campaign was authorized, based on a faked dossier, paid for by Clinton.

That's the beauty of Trump, he brings out the corruption of the other side.

I will really enjoy seeing the top Obama appointees go to prison and the phoney news organizations stripped of their licenses.

If you started an investigation into the activities of any of the last few Presidents and their associates likely there will be charges for someone, or another, for something or other.

Facts are very scary things.

And no comment from Mueller at all over this. Bill Barr did in fact say, "The thinking of the special counsel was not a mystery to the department of justice prior to the submission of their report."

Put simply: the FBI was investigating whether Russia had intefered with the American elections. Deplorables of course now call this "spying."
state trooper stops a speeding driver. Driver: he was spying on me!

You're in the dictionary again looking for legal definitions. The only thing simple here is you.

I don't remember all this bruhaha when America interfered in the election in Ukraine.

Rosenstein was not under Trump's command. He as anything but that.

If the "Republican" Rosenstein came out as transgendered, marched in an Earth Day parade, was anti- 2nd Amendment etc, it would surprise exactly no one.

Elections at the national level are part of my community.

To illegally start an investigation, engage in lawfare, and lie about stuff is to disenfranchise me (take away my vote).

Rosenstein, if he worked in the DOJ was under Trump's command. Trump just couldn't control the good ones so he got rid of them and now they are all idiots and henchmen running the government.

If I was your supervisor at a company, you would 'technically' be under my command, but I have no doubt that you would try to loaf as much as you wanted and everything else.

You have malingerer written all over you.
