Former Vice President Joe Biden Announces That He Is Running For President In 2020

Time: Former Vice President Joe Biden Announces 2020 Presidential Run

With an early-morning tweet and accompanying video, former Vice President Joe Biden announced that he is making a third run for his Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.

Biden opened his announcement video with footage of the 2017 white supremacist march in Charlottesville, Va., highlighting President Donald Trump’s comment that there were “very fine people on both sides,” following violent clashes that left one counter-protestor dead.

“With those words, the President of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I realized that the threat to this nation was unlike any I had seen in my lifetime,” Biden said.

WNU Editor: Will the Democrats vote for someone who voted against busing/de-segregation, and who voted for the Defense of Marriage Act, the Iraq war, and conservative Supreme Court justices (Scalia and Thomas)? And on top of all of that, a long and "creepy" history of interacting with women. You tell me.

Neither Bernie nor Biden have what it takes. Bernie just came out in support of voting rights for terrorists. His candidacy is over - he hasn't realised it yet. Biden has absolutely zero leadership capabilities. Ffs this guy postponed his announcement like 20 times and then did it via video. How lame is that? There's 0 enthusiasm. He will not be president and he knows it. So it's a game at the moment .. Democrats will not win in 2020. They have no chance and know it. This is only to put candidates forward to keep the Democrat party from imploding. They need people to run to remain a party. But they have lost all credibility. Only Fred remains a Democrat voter, tells you everything

The only thing I can imagine is a surprise ticket. Like if Obama were to run for vice president. Or if it's Biden + Kamala Harris. Because she is no leader either and will not be president. Look at her answer on the "should prisoners vote" question. ..she answered "we should have that debate"..that's code for "I don't know what the f I'm doing and will bend in the wind - I'm no leader so I'll let people tell me what they want..because ihaven't thought about this deeply"..the next day after piling results showed how much people hate it, she was like "naaah let's not have a discussion"... so Biden is no leader, Harris is no leader and Sanders is DOA. 2020 will be a landslide for Trump. It's pathetic to watch what Democrats do for power. Anything goes.

Joe has to basically disavow everything he believed in his whole Government career - which is his ONLY career. He now has to be the leader of the Party of Hate. He has to (vehemently) hate America, hate Trump, hate the people who voted for Trump and promise total revenge upon them all.

Anon is right - Biden does not have what it takes. Already sort of weird and dithering. And he's a gaff machine.

If he were to actually get elected, The Democrat establishment would immediately make him their marionette.

There's an old saying in The Swamp about Biden, "The best day of Joe Biden's campaign is his first day".

Anti-Democrat comments need to consider the present occupant of the White House...What has he thus far done for Americans in the middle or lower class? taxes went to the wealthy and gave us a huge deficit; market and jobs continue on track set by former president and the gap in incomes grows. Health care? infrastructure? Russia and Iran now co-run Syria with Russia; Russia continues to interfere with our elections and on and on

Biden's problem is that he is running on a false narrative that the Democrats are desparate to keep going "our democracy is at stake" For real? DJT may be unpopular to some, BUT he is more popular than Obama at the same time in office - AND he is much, much more transparent -- remember how many GAG orders Obama had on the press? Dozens! Trump? 0! Those are facts. That is reality. Whatever Democrats are pushing is a lie. Democracy has been under attack. By Russians AND Democrats. This much is clear by now. And the Democrat party is in its death struggle. There are no leaders -- Biden is not a leader. Who in the world announces a run for the presidency via video - after postponing it for months and months? That's not leadership. That barely qualifies as half-assed run. Trump will wipe the floor with him, with his arms tied behind his back and blind-folded. Biden is so outmached it's almost sad to watch. I somewhat like Biden - he seems to be alright. But he is not a leader. And he is a terrible, terrible fundraiser - he hates raising funds, which is fine in any other profession that being a manager/ceo or president. You cannot win in the US this way. He doesn't even raise as much as Bernie. And Bernie is outmached by 1:10 by Trump.

I agree with some of above comments. The Democrats will lose in 2020 and they deserve to lose and lose badly for what they put the country through. For what Hillary did. For what Obama allowed (both Russian meddling and FISA abuse - he must have known that the FBI spied on a presidential candidate - a first in US history!).

The show is over.
The tables are turning.

But the Democrats are like a frog in hot water. They don't know that they are being boiled to death. They don't seem to understand, grasp the severity of what happened. Sure, the MSM won't tell them. But fewer and fewer people are that braindead to believe in MSM. Sure, Fred Lapides will keep voting Democrat - but who else? 2020 and beyond will be a blood bath.

I have studied Trump for a long time. He is a counter puncher and he always goes for the kill. He -hates- Obama and he -hates- Clinton. BOTH have likely committed crimes. Obama will get away, he's good at it. But Clinton overplayed her card. And the Democrat party is sick of her. Her only hope was to become president and then cover it all up. That's not gonna happen and the Democrats will lose in 2020. And once congress is back in Republican hands you will see an onslaught of subpoenas, and prison sentences. People will and should go bankrupt over what they've done to this nation.

Pay back time

Joe is a an establishment shoe-in for the nomination unless Hillary decides to have another go at it. Whoever, it doesn't matter because the Democrats will kowtow to the Republicans every time because deep down they are one.

What Trump has done:

1. Addressed the China issue (while Obama's pivot to Asia failed - Obama gutted the military and brought us the hypermilitarisation of the South China sea, that happened under HIM, not Trump. Trump inherited it)

2. Under Trump the US economy is kicking ass and taking names. Now the US economy is suddenly twice(!) the size of China and that's before the trade deal effects kick in

3. Trump addressed the immigration issue. Democrats tell us everything is 'A' okay. They tell us 20 million illegal immigrants are no problem. They tell us Mexicans - or any south american - are better Americans than you or I. Trump calls their BS, and that alone counts for a lot. Trump also makes progress - albeit slowly - on the wall issue. To border states and angel mums/dads this counts a lot. And he has been consistent on this issue - he talked about it even in the 90s (same with China by the way - he talked about this for decades, and same with trade deals, he is incredibly consistent)

4. Trump is incredibly transparent. Obama had a massive amount of gag orders and even punished people by demasking them. Many lives were endangered. Trump so far 0 gag orders. Okay, he kicked that pig Acosta out, but that's really a plus in my book - and he was allowed back in.

5. Trump has strengthened the military, which was gutted under Obama. Importantly - everyone believes Trump will go Mad Max on you - no one believed Obama after his failed red line debacle, which probably lost Syria and prolonged the civial war with hundreds of thousands of deaths

6. Trump unmasked the deep state and fake news media. Or do you still believe what the monkeys at CNN tell you? Do you really believe in toxic masculinity, and all this other nonsense they tell you? They divide and conquer, play race card, sex card, anything goes. Trump calls them out on it and wants to go back to a meritocracy. I applaud him for that.

7. Trump has strengthened NATO - with more than 100 billion more spending - and has also strengthened East Ukraine by supplying deadly weapons, has strenghthened Japan (with F35 and other things)

8. Trump has also addressed North Korea - something Obama didn't even dare to do. Not a done deal yet, but at least no more rocket tests and crazy nuke tests. While I don't think he will reach denuclearization, at least he got the dead soldiers' remains back and led to a never-before closeness of South and North Korea..

Shall I go on? ;-)

Maybe you answer this: What has Obama done?

The more candidates to clutter for the 2020 democrat nomination the better. Bernie and Biden are now polling better than anyone else. Bidens highest polling numbers will be earlier on and sink over time because he is unable to debate like he used to, and he is a non intersectional white privileged male with a lot of ammo available against him. Bernie will likely get the nomination because he is considered their "thought leader" at this point, despite also being non intersectional and white privileged as well. You know this because much of his current platform, especially the socialist elements, are now being touted by the rest of the candidates because he recognizes that no one cares about your intersectionality more than free healthcare, free college, etc. Barring anything incredibly unusual, its Bernie and Trump campaigning 2020.

The list is very long and the affects can be seen in the growth of the Job market. For some people, this may seem naive but I for one feel economics is a good measure of success. Yes, it's not the only measure but an effective one. MAGA!

The person, who wrote 1st wrote the above quote, is a partisan hack and not a bright one.

Such a person cannot be honest about political platforms or policie.

Sad really. How is the weather in Satin Petersburg. Robert? Or should I say Ivan!?!

Anon, a person who talks shit on these boards that he'd never have the guts to say to someone's face. A punk ass bitch.

Biden will be destroyed by Trump.

Destroyed.

The Dems self destructed with this Russiagate non-sense. Trump was vulnerable on revolving door staff, Reaganesque dementia, tax cuts for the rich, blowing up the deficit, horrible relations with traditional allies, a no-win with China (6% growth even with tariffs) and signs of a slowing economy. But the Dems substitued a stupid gambit for a real policy. Throwing a re-tread like Biden at the situation is like throwing worse money after bad.

On top of it all, those who like horror shows will get to watch the Dems fight over policies (New Green Deal, Medicare for All) that will NEVER see the light of day in the U.S. without civil war part 2.

The initiative has passed on to the Trumpistas. 2020 is theirs to win or lose.

But Biden or no,

Anon who baits Bob will still be a punk ass bitch.

Aizinonymous should be happy.

Watching that doofus Don Lemon on CNN gush over Biden's announcement gives him competition for Douchebag of the Year.

We all know that competition is what makes a meritocracy.

Or is it monopoly??

Anyhoo, Lemon is an idiot but my money is still on Aizinonymous - in a merinopoly of stupid, he is an overachiever.

"Anon who baits Bob will still be a punk ass bitch."

Is Bob, the elevator mechanic, being baited

or

Bob, the bank teller, being baited?

I just want to know, which Bob, because Bobby has claimed to be both without prompting.

He kept on lying when he didn't think people were paying attention and then came up with his cover story of that he was just leading people on.

So who is baiting who?

"Reaganesque dementia, tax cuts for the rich,"

Says the scholastically challenged person, who could not successfully complete an calculus based economic analysis of tax rates verus tax revenue.

If you cannot complete an calculus based economic analysis, you are just as well off breaking wind and calling it a sound liberal argument.
