The Hill: Iranian lawmakers approve measure labeling US forces in Middle East terrorists

Iranian lawmakers approved a measure Tuesday designating U.S. forces in the Middle East as terrorists, The Associated Press reported.

The bill, which was overwhelmingly approved by the Iranian parliament, comes a day after the U.S.'s terrorism designation for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially took effect, the news service noted.

Iranian Defense Minister Gen. Amir Hatami introduced the bill, which accuses U.S. forces of “terrorist actions” and demands authorities use “legal, political and diplomatic” measures to neutralize them, according to the AP.

TIT for TAT with no meaning when both countries are terroristic.

Thanks Bob for that infantile remark. Something I'd expect from a 22 year old humanities dropout at Berkley. Typically bitter, stupid and reactionary.

You see Bob, If the US labels you a terrorist there are actual consequences. This declaration by Iran that US forces are "terrorists" is totally meaningless. Laughable. It carries about as much weight as some media carnival barker shouting same. No legitimacy whatsoever.

Thankfully, now that the IRGC is recognized as the terror org that it is, the mackerel-eyed Soleimani will end up dead sooner than later.

Either US Forces are terorists or they are not.

If they are not would that make Bob a terrorist, terrosit sympathizer, or terrorist supporter?

Bob has laid lots of stinkers (gems). He loves some of the same people the Iroanians love. Check the internet database for his comments. Maybe the wayback machines gets checked.

Morons pile on Bob. Try making your argument about an issue and not bringing in name calling to substitute for thinking

Iran's desginantion of the US is meaningless except for the fact that they are being forthright about what they have done and are doing.

They supplied severla thousand IEDs (Iranian Explosive Devices) in the past and those killed many American troops. There was no formal declaration of War by the Iranians or anything.

"And that’s not all. The Wall Street Journal reported in February that another EFP “factory” was discovered in southern Iraq, and around the same time the New York Times threw some water on the U.S. military’s claims that the bombs were coming exclusively from Iran, when a cache of EFP materials was found in Baghdad—all marked with stamps from countries around the Middle East, but not Iran.

None of this means that Iran isn’t providing help—we’re not in a position to know"

Providing technical assistance, the funding tooling and or actually making them in Iran is splitting hairs.

Killing American troops with or without a declaration, it does not mattter. Iran is guilty.

"This ominous discovery, unreported until now, makes it clear that Iraqi insurgents have no need to rely on Iran as the source of EFPs."

Just because the Iraqi insurgent funded by Iran have no absolute need for EFPs from Iran at some particular time does not mean that they dioid not get them exclusievely in the past from IRan or that they do not lappereaciate Iran goosing their supply by plussing it up with Iranian made (Iranian explosive Devices) IEDs.

I know the truth can hurt and cause people to lash out but you two, adults, maybe, should use your heads a bit and look at the history of the USA relative to wars.

Perhaps you might ask the innocent women and children of Yemen if they consider the US as being a terrorist nation, or the innocents of Afghanistan and Iraq also. The innocents of Vietnam is a good example and numerous other countries where legitimate governments were subverted and dictators, that killed and imprisoned their people installed, by American functionaries.

In the scheme of international terrorism Iran is a rank amature compared to the US.

Imagine two traditionally opposing enemies banding together to fight a common enemy. They had better keep that fact under wraps before others learn of it an follow suit.
