What Will Surviving ISIS Fighters Now Do?

ISIL fighters are now stuck in limbo, unwanted by their home countries and unlikely to receive a trial by the SDF [File: Rodi Said/Reuters]

Robin Wright, New Yorker: The Dangerous Dregs of ISIS

A few days before the collapse of the Islamic State’s caliphate, I visited one of the new “pop-up prisons” that had been hastily converted to hold thousands of surrendering ISIS fighters in Syria. The numbers wildly exceeded all expectations, including estimates by U.S. intelligence. The most striking sight at the prison entrance was a mound of human hair lying on the raw concrete floor. Clumps of it—some brown, some graying, most of it greasy or matted—had been shaved off the heads and faces of fighters before they were taken to group cells. “Lice,” one of the guards told me.

Apparently the Macrons and Merkels will criticize Guatanamo all day long. Europe will not have one, because they do not do any heavby lifting. they do not lift at all. They rather that everyone else work and they skate through life as if they were some professional Olympic judges occastion doing the hard work of lifting up cards with the #s 1 through 10 on them.

Criticize abd opine, but never work, not dangerous work anyway.

The country that created ISIS should bear the cost of trials, imprisonment and executions if deemed appropriate.

Iran funded Al Qaeda. ISIS is an offshoot of AL Qaeda.

Osama bin Laden's son, Hamza lived in Iran until 2010. Iran gave Al Qaeda freepassge and technical aid

If Mr. Robert Huntley wants to accuse the U.S. of creating Al Qaeda dn thus its off shoot, then maybe he could cite passges out of books like "Charlie Wilson's War" or "The Looming Tower"

I kind of doubt he will. If he quoted "The Looming Tower" and gave the page #, people would check his assertion and find it false.

So Robert goes with the generic assertion thinking that since the Leftwing nutter press lied about it often enough that makes it a proven fact.
