Business Insider/Task & Purpose: A Libyan militia rigged a Humvee with a monster 90mm cannon
* A Humvee sporting a cannibalized armored-car turret was spotted in Libya.
* The souped-up battlewagon appeared to in the service of a militia that's involved in a recent increase in fighting in the war-torn country.
There's really only one message you can send when you roll up in your neighborhood with a 90mm cannon on the back of your vehicle: I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I'm all out of bubblegum.
A Humvee with what appears to be a heavily-modified turret from an armored car was spotted cruising through the Libyan town of Wadi al Rabith just south of the capitol of Tripoli over the weekend.

You know that like five years ago there was major army sell of about 3000 Humvees? Like we can guess that some got to North Africa via mysterious routes . huahuahau

I wonder how long the chassis lasts?
It only has to last the duration.
In WW2 the Russians did a most excellent job in deciding how to manufacture their tanks robustly, but cheaply given their lif3 expectancy. There was no wasted effort.
That technical may only last 6 months before the bearing, drive train and other parts give out. But if the way is 5 months, then it is what "works".
