EU Elections -- News Updates May 27, 2019

Daily Mail: Battering for mainstream parties across Europe as Marine Le Pen's party calls for 'powerful' group of far-right parties to join forces in EU Parliament - despite gains for pro-EU Greens

* Centrist and ruling parties suffered heavy losses across much of Europe as EU Parliament results confirmed
* Voters elected anti-EU and anti-immigration parties in record numbers, with Marine Le Pen winning in France
* Conversely, left wing and Green parties surged, with Merkel's CDU losing to them rather than right-wingers
* Despite anti-EU gains, the legislature is still controlled by a two-thirds majority of Pro-EU parties
* Ms Le Pen's National Rally party came just ahead of Emmanuel Macron's En Marche in French vote
* Her party toasted 'emergence of new forces' that 'open the way for formation of a powerful group' in Brussels
* Spain bucked the trend with ruling Socialists on top but Greek PM called a snap General Election after losses
* Italy's Matteo Salvini told supporters 'A new Europe is born', while Silvio Berlusconi was re-elected at 82
* Turnout across the continent is the highest in 25 years - up by around eight percent on 201

Far-right and Eurosceptic parties have won more European Parliament seats than ever before after voters across the continent left their nations' rulers with bloody noses.

Conversely, left wing and pro-EU Green parties also surged amid the highest turnout in 25 years as the 40-year majority held by the two largest centre-right and centre-left groups of parties was broken.

Marine Le Pen's National Rally inflicted a painful defeat - but not a knock-out blow - on pro-European French president Emmanuel Macron before her party called for a 'powerful' group of far-right parties to join forces in the EU Parliament.

In Italy, the League party of hard-line Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini, was one of the biggest winners in the European elections, with soaring support that bolsters his role as the flagbearer of the nationalist and far-right forces in Europe and could also shake up politics at home.

Merkle is nothing but a Communist, but if she acknowledged that, she never would have been elected. IN the USA, Communists are everywhere in the Democrat party--but they never call themselves that, because bnoone but the ANTIFA types would ever vote for them. If nations would make Communists call themselves Communists, instead of lying to the people and saying they are something else, they would never be elected and they damage they do to nations would be greatly reduced.

Ukip is getting rid of the Tories.

Soon that will happen to the Republicans. The Republicans would be dead, if not for Trump and he is not even a doctrinaire Republican. Rank & File are very unhappy after McCain, Romney, Boehner, Cantor and Paul Ryan.

If it had not been for Trump, you would have seen a Farage on the American political scene.

You know the grand poobahs and apparatchiks of the Republican Party should no longer be in charge, when Jeb says "I will win without the base" or something very close to that effect.

Romney and others will tear page out of the United Methodist Church playbook and make sure that the poobahs keep all the assets no matter if the congregants are disgusted with the leadershi_ and choose to leave.

Jeb, GWB, Romney, McShame and others just let the Leftist press (most of the prestige press), Democrats and others walk all over them. They did not stop that shit and so the part rank and file are moving on. At least the Republican Party Poobahs have their summer home, their other summer home and what not to console themselves.

The Democrats weaponized the CIA, FBI and IRS and what is Romney and "Staunch Fighter, Who Fight Back with Wet Spaghetti Noddles" do?

Nothing except criticize Trump

Eff them!

We are moving on withoutn them. They can have a good cry at the summer retreats.

Rank & file have been majorly upset since 2013 or before

Still at it aren't you.

People were real happy wit Cantor backstabbing them when he made those remarks at Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Georgia.

On April 12th or 13th of 2014 Cantor threw conservatives under the bus.

Boehner was a real joy. I learned from the Gen X-ers a new meaning for the word "push back" in relation to how hard Boehner fought Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

Paul Ryan, who the base was excited about during 2016 Presidential campaign, took over from Boehner and was a dud.

Oh and you should be investigated for your fishing expedition.

You wouldn't know the truth if it hit you in the face.

In your case it is rather easy to see the truth.

I can see the truth that you are worthless.
