Mr Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani, jailed campaign manager Paul Manafort, and Democrat front-runner Joe Biden are all part of the story
BBC: Why Ukraine has become ensnared in US collusion claims
This was a story long thought dead and buried, but the allegation that Ukraine actively worked with US Democrats to damage Donald Trump's election chances in 2016 has been revived by the top prosecutor in Kiev.
President Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has repeatedly called on Ukraine to investigate claims of collusion in favour of Hillary Clinton and he has been in regular contact with the prosecutor general, Yuriy Lutsenko.
Now Mr Lutsenko has breathed new life into the story, announcing a new investigation, and citing a court ruling that Ukrainians unlawfully interfered in the 2016 election.
Mr Giuliani also wants Kiev to look into claims that former Vice-President and 2020 Democrat contender Joe Biden may have got Ukraine's then top prosecutor fired to help his son's business interests.

WNU Editor: I do not expect this alleged Ukraine involvement in the 2016 campaign to assist the Democrats will get anywhere. A new government is coming to power in Ukraine in the coming days, and their priorities are elsewhere. What I do expect is a lot of new revelations coming to light on the role that the Biden family played in influencing Ukraine government policy, and financially benefiting from it. From my sources in Kiev I am hearing a lot of interesting allegations on how certain oligarchs and government officials went out of their way to reward the former Vice President by enriching his son, and they want their story told. The only other thing that I can add to this story is for everyone in the U.S. to be very wary. This is Ukraine after-all, and misinformation, corruption, and buying favours is what makes this country run.
