WNU Editor: President Xi is facing a lot of domestic opposition. From the unrest in the province of Xinjiang and its Uighur population to resentment among many Chinese over China's social credit system that rewards and punishes personal behaviour. There is also growing international resentment against his government .... from Canada and the detainment of Canadians, to China's neighbours who are pushing back on China's territorial claims. And what is unfortunate for President Xi is that almost all of this has been self inflicted. That it has been his policies and behaviour that has created this backlash that is only going to intensify with time.
