Warzone/The Drive: Navy F/A-18 Pilot Shares New Details About UFO Encounters During Middle East Deployment
The Naval Aviator describes a "reduced volume" of “inconclusive" incidents when his squadron was flying over the Middle East.
As part of our ongoing and in-depth coverage of the military's increasingly publicized encounters with UFOs, we want to share with you exclusive correspondence between F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot Ryan Graves and The War Zone. Graves is one of a handful of Navy tactical jet aircrewmen that recently stepped forward regarding a near constant string of encounters with UFOs while training off the southeast coast of the U.S. between 2014 and 2015. In the message, he answers our question regarding statements that the mysterious craft followed his unit while on cruise to the Persian Gulf aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. There was some discrepancy on this issue, with the New York Times first reporting the encounters stopped shortly after the unit and its air wing left on deployment in early Spring of 2015, while further testimony from Graves teased in short promotional clips for To The Stars Academy's History Channel show Unidentified implies that they continued while the unit was deployed abroad.

Lots of things can explain this, maybe we have tech that can fly at these speeds!? Otherwise, it's it is indeed E.T. then OK. Sure would be a waste of space if we were alone in this universe.
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
There obviously appears to be something that is far beyond our understanding that is going on here. I would suggest three possibilities. 1.)This is extra terrestrial in origin, 2.)these are advanced weapons developed secretly and being tested by the US, or 3.)someone, another country most likely, on earth has military tech that is operational and way beyond anything we can even come close to matching.
While any one of these options is certainly possible, option 1 falls into the category of an extraordinary claim. As extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and such is lacking, I would tend to dismiss this option unless all others can be definitively eliminated.
Option 2, while more likely than option 1 is still unlikely IMHO. The US government historically has a very difficult time keeping secrets. For something like this, the details of the project would be "leaked" to the media very quickly. After all things of much less significance are routinely "leaked." As such, the temptation to "leak" would be overwhelming. "Leaking" something like this has huge upside potential in terms of financial benefits, notoriety, and otherwise all combined with minimal to no downside risk to the "leaker." As such, it would be pretty safe to assume this tech is not US in origin. While perhaps not in the category of "extraordinary claim," it would seem to be very close.
This leaves us with option 3 as the most likely answer. Given the implausibility of the other options, the answer is almost certain to be option 3. This means that another country has military tech that is way beyond anything we can even come close to matching. Recognizing this will obviously have profound implications on our national security posture and the policies we pursue.
Which country is it whose military tech is superior to ours? While we can't be sure. Someone who is developing this might want to keep a "low profile" until they feel the time is right to make things known. We probably should be looking for a country that does a good job at keeping secrets that promotes a high degree of loyalty to the state.
As stated, we cannot be certain. We can make inferences based upon what is known. I would think the most likely candidates would be Russia, China, or perhaps a combination of these countries. The most likely candidate I think would be Russia. During the Georgian war military analysts were forced to admit that Russia displayed military capabilities that the US lacked. (They made excuses to explain this away) and during the Syrian war Russia "displayed capabilities that only the Americans were supposed to have." Given the penchant for US "analysts" to both overestimate our capabilities while underestimating those of adversaries and potential adversaries I think it a reasonable extrapolation that Russia has capabilities in some areas, at a minimum, that exceed ours.
So the most likely candidate for these "UFOS" is Russia. This I where the investigation needs to start. Once the most likely candidates are eliminated we can then move onto other possibilities. Bottom line: unless extraordinary claims can be supported with extraordinary evidence another nation on earth has military tech that far exceeds anything we can even come close to matching. With this realization in mind this is how the US government needs to conduct our foreign policy and our defense policy. To say the national security ramifications of this are profound is an understatement.
Good thoughts Poster.
It doesn't necessarily need to be a "country" that is doing this. It could be another entity, with access to groups of scientists and people with an extreme levels of intelligence, technologically speaking. Yes leaks would be highly possible, but, people in everyday technological research could have worked developing stuff in isolation meaning that what they were developing was such a minute aspect of the end product(s) that there was no way they could know what they were really working on, so nothing to leak.
Personally though I think extraterrestrial sounds more interesting. They don't need to be space movie-like beings, perhaps they are simply humans, from wherever we first came, looking in on one of their long ago (our timeline thinking), experiments. The one to determine what happens if the subjects are alowed to multiply over a long time, were indoctrinated with god like misinformation, and then given the ultimate destructive weapon.
Perhaps the the extra-folk are just checking to see how close they are to colleceting their hoped for win from betting on the outcome. You know how prone humans are to gambling.
This is our future selves visiting the present day, more of a Final Countdown scenario. Is it less believable than aliens from outer space?
Nice try Poster. Nope. Russia is good at hacking and messing with elections and creating oligarchs...and not much else
Anon
Could be our future selves.
As for aliens? Even humans from outer space would be considered aliens which might explain why no contact. They know what Earth humans would do if they came out so to speak and they probably don't want to be killed in some backwater hell hole.
When I first read up on the Nazca Lines, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazca_Lines,
and saw all those animal depictions that can only be seen from great heights it reminded me of the parking lot a really large mall in Mississauga, Ontario called Square One.
When you park your car in the lot you notice all the sections are named after a different animal. The images of the animal for your section are on are the light poles. You are cautioned to remember your section, the mall is that large.
The images on that Nazca plain are so positioned as to look like they were used and/or perhaps intended to be used in the future as a staging area for inter planetary travel or simple recovery of their humans wanting to go back home before the nukes start flying.
Bob,
Thanks for the reply. With regards to your first paragraph this is certainly possible. I did not fully consider this. I am thinking of the first Apollo mission to the moon. There were a multitude of departments all working on different aspects of this independent of the other parties. Presumably there were "department heads" who met to ensure each group's efforts could interface with each other. This had two advantages. 1.)Each department could specialize on its aspects making the best end product. 2.)With fewer people aware of the "big picture" this minimizes the risks of "leaks" and espionage whereby the specs are sold or transferred to hostile entities. I had never considered possibility 2.
With that said while certainly more plausible than the alien theory, I'm skeptical of such a theory but it is something that would be a lead worthy of consideration especially should the foreign power theory be disproven. As with the moon landings, vast numbers of people and resources had to be devoted to it. Everyone knew about it. The tech here seems to be way beyond that involved in the Apollo program. As such, the same analysis still stands. Keeping this a secret in America and to a large extent a "western" country would be impossible. As such, I say we are looking for a country that is tech savvy, keeps a tight lid on "leaking," and encourages loyalty to the team with big rewards combined with stiff punishments for undermining the effort. Russia and China seem to be the most likely candidates but it could be a non "western" country.
Paragraph two: The concept of space aliens is "interesting." It makes for a big sell and is hugely profitable. I'm sure government would not be above using the people who propagate this to misdirect. I'm pretty sure the people who propagate this are not deliberately allowing this to happen. Because it is "interesting" it is more fun than honest and thoughtful analysis. As for the time traveler theory, I had considered this. A time traveler wishing to study something would wish to keep a low profile so as not to risk contaminating the study or the "timeline." These things are far from discrete. It is as though they are taunting us. The likely culprit appears to be a foreign country that is not "western" who has vastly superior military tech to us with the most likely candidates being Russia, China, or both of them. If understood properly, this will have major implications for US national security and foreign policy. Essentially the myth of the US being some sort of "superpower" or "hyperpower" is shattered.
Treon Lotskey,
Actually I stated an analysis of why these UFOs are likely a foreign power and Russia as the most likely candidate. The analysis is very detailed. Please reread before commenting if you read it all in the first place. This foreign entity has military tech that vastly exceeds ours. There is very good reason to believe that known Russian and probably Chinese military tech as well exceeds ours. As such, the analysis is a sound one which is far from a "nice try" as you call it.
You nailed it that Russia is very good at hacking, arguably the best in the world at this sort of thing. As for election interference, the only real evidence we have for this is "because we said so" on behalf of the news media, the democrats, and US (un)intelligence. They've used this to exacerbate Cold War 2. This is a war we didn't really need, can't readily afford, may not be able to win, and even if we do win it's hard to see just what we "win." This to me looks like a "nice try." IMHO to justify this will require much more evidence than has been presented.
Bob,
As for the Nazca lines, these are likely done by humans who had access to some type of glider technology and ways of communicating with builders on the ground. This wouldn't have been that hard for them to do but exotic theories are huge money makers and are far more exciting than mundane reality. At least this is my "take" on it.
Postman--
of course, you never have a bad word to say for Russia. Wonder why...the evidence for Russian interference is all over the place and you are not kidding anyone. Have you read Mueller Report? all American intel...Russian interference in Brexit, in trolling about measles? etc etc...stop playing games that are so obvious..in fact, the Russian interference is still going on and we are warned about upcoming elections. and no...russian tech is not so far superior to ours...note MIGs in Korean war, for example, though we are not supposed to know about those, right?

China is very good at keeping things quiet, some things anyway. The Rare Earth Element issue is one. So far the method used for refining the raw material is a Chinese secret they have had for quite a while. I read something the other day that they had refined the process very recently making it more profitable and apparently easier to do.
On the Russians hacking US elections it seems to me that as the US elections are plagued with undemocratic aspects, gerrymandering, exclusions, voting access difficulties and of course the Electoral College, hacking a broken and faulty system should not be that difficult, if you have some ability and are funded and organized. It is a very loose system.
Anon (4:33PM),
Time permitting I will deal with the full extent of your trolling later. You bring up accusations like Russian interference in Brexit, Mueller Report, measles trolling, etc. These are off topic and likely meant to distract from a weak position. This is by definition trolling.
As to the accusation that I never say anything about bad Russia, maybe you have not read my posts in their entirety while carefully evaluating the context. As I have pointed out numerous times, the Russian leadership is arrogant making them prone to miscalculate. With proper leadership we could capitalize on this. In fact, president Trump and his team have done so. The editor linked to an analysis in December of last year that essentially asserts that 2018 was a bad year for Russian and Chinese leadership. Essentially 2019 hasn't been much better for them either. As the only new variable to the equation, I credit the leadership of president Trump. IMHO he has their number and is currently defeating them. With that said one year and few months will not decide the outcome of Cold War 2. Much still needs to be done.
As to the "wonder why..." there was once a time when engaging with major world powers and their leadership was considered a good thing and it was encouraged. This is called statesmanship. Essentially baseless and reckless accusations are unwarranted and do more harm than good. Already such reckless actions have undermined careful diplomacy on multiple occasions. Had this diplomacy been allowed t bear fruit we might have been able to end Cold War 2 or at the very least reduce tensions.
Bob,
I think you are spot on. China appears to be very good at keeping things quiet. Bottom line: I think we need to be looking for modern humans, affiliated with the government of a country that exists in modern times, and not space aliens or time travelers. For reasons mentioned above, the US and the "west" can probably be excluded as a candidate for this absent extraordinary evidence. China could certainly be the culprits. There is a country on earth who has military tech that is WAY beyond anything we are even close to having. In fact, the editor posted on this a few years back and my analysis was the same then as it is now. Recognizing this should have profound effects on our foreign and national security policy. I think Fusion is correct in his earlier post that such speeds would ordinarily liquefy a human. I would seem they have found a way around this. To me the most likely candidates are the Russians, Chinese, or both working together. Time permitting I will comment further as you raise some interesting points.
