Russian President Putin Admits US-Russia Relations Are 'Getting Worse'

Reuters: Putin says U.S.-Russia relations are getting 'worse and worse'

MOSCOW (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said relations between Moscow and Washington were getting worse and worse, noting in an interview published on Thursday that the current U.S. administration had imposed dozens of sanctions on Russia.

Putin made his gloomy assessment ahead of a G20 summit in Japan later this month at which he might meet U.S. President Donald Trump.

U.S.-Russia ties remain strained by everything from Syria to Ukraine as well as allegations of Russian interference in U.S. politics, which Moscow denies.

WNU Editor: The transcript of Russian President Putin's interview is here .... Vladimir Putin’s interview to Mir Interstate Television and Radio Company (Kremlin). As to what is my take. For the past few years the environment in Washington has made it impossible for any headway with Russia. I expect this to continue, and probably even intensify if President Trump wins the 2020 election.

What strain?
Elections? fully spelled out in Mueller Report and stated by all our intel. Deny that.
Syria: Russia fully supports Assad. The US under Obama supported the rebel and Kurd causes. Trump inherited our involvement in Syria, but we have pretty much conceded that Assad, Iran, and Russia have won.
Russia is now known to have had bots pushing anti-vaccine for Measles; Brexit, and elections in other nations.

Putin and Trump have secret decoder rings. When they talk via vid phone they twirl their rings and secretly communicate.

But more seriously the Mueller report found no evidence of collusion.

Bots? Can a bot placing a comment in the comment section sway your mind that easily? Maybe if you are a Democrat. Typically in a comment thread you get several comments both for and against. So adding a bot comment really won't add any weight, because some real honest to goodness citizen has already made it. It might add more weight if you are the type of person that goes "1, 2, 3, ... Big # of positive comments. They must be right!"

Trump wanted to get out of Syria. We are still there. Personally, I like it, because I support the Kurds. I voted for Trump and will again. That he wanted to pull out of Syria was not what I wanted. But Trump is not perfect. The last perfect man was Jesus.

Lincoln said that he liked General Grant because "He fights." I like Trump because he fights. He is not your typical BOHICA Washington pol.

One to three years from no the MSM will shift form Russia to China or from Russian to Russia and China. Trump is taking on China and all we get is a whine from the liberals.

Trump is fighting? where? my gps may be broken
and of course it is always the MSM...another remark via Trump
My comment: Russian inteference. for some reason you switch to collusion and Mueller report ..note: the conservatives are now whining about tariffs etc along with whining liberals... to put Trump name in same paragraph as Lincoln is truly amusing

The interference was supposedly that Russians posted in chat rooms and comments threads in key swing states and swing the election to Trump. Now, the Russians could have watched all by themselves, the 5+ networks to see what analysts thought were the battleground or key states. Or somehow, someway according to Democrats Trump went colludikins and said "These are the states you need to have bots in the chatrooms to influence people with broken GPS's."

Who doesn't interfere with our elections?

China interferes.
Mexico interferes.
Russia interferes.
Israel interferes or should. Clinton interfered over there.

Maybe the shorter list would be to list the nations that do not interfere? Those would be the small postage stamp sized countries in the Pacific.

We've needed to get tough with China since 1992, 3 presidents. What are you waiting for? Do you have a plan to stop China stealing IP, manipulating their currency and other unfair trade practices? Are you waiting until doomsday to implement some yet as unknown plan?

Yes, Trump fights. The comparison was apt. Grant fought and Lincoln liked him. Sherman said that he was smarter than Grant in every respect besides one. Yet Sherman worked for Grant and did not complain. Trump might not have the highest IQ, but is so much wiser than most people in the Swamp. MAGA!

You could see what high IQ Paul Krugman is doing. He is shooting from the hip and not aiming now that he has a rep.

"The growth of the Internet will slow drastically, as the flaw in 'Metcalfe's law'-which states that the number of potential connections in a network is proportional to the square of the number of participants-becomes apparent: most people have nothing to say to each other! By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's."

So Krugman is an economist well versed in statistics and has a Nobel prize, but does he really use stats anymore before he opens his mouth?

I'll take Trump over Krugman any day.

I'll take Trump over a Never Trump or any Republican who is skittish about fighting back against China.

When does Fred think we should fight back against Chinese trade practices and how?
In 2024, 2040, 2100?
