U.S. Democrats: Trump Administration Approved 2 Nuclear Deals With Saudi Arabia After Khashoggi Was Murdered In Istanbul


CNBC: Trump administration approved nuclear energy transfers to Saudis after Khashoggi killing

* The Trump administration authorized the transfer of U.S. nuclear information to Saudi Arabia 16 days after Jamal Khashoggi’s slaying, according to Democrats.
* A second authorization was granted about three months after the CIA reportedly concluded the kingdom’s powerful crown prince ordered the killing.
* U.S.-Saudi nuclear energy cooperation has become a flash point in a battle between Congress and the White House over U.S. relations with Saudi Arabia.

The Trump administration approved the transfer of nuclear energy information to Saudi Arabia on two occasions after the slaying of Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi by agents of the kingdom, according to Senate Democrats.

The administration granted the first approval in question Oct. 18, 2018, 16 days after the killing of The Washington Post columnist and Virginia resident at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. The second authorization was granted Feb. 18, 2019, three months after the CIA reportedly concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered Khashoggi’s death.

Imagine how confident Israel is in their alliance with KSA if they aren't raising complete hell about this. 25 years ago the thought of a nuclear KSA would've lit the fuse under every single lobbyist and politician in Tel Aviv and Washington.
