David Morgan, Reuters: Explainer: After Mueller, what do U.S. House Judiciary Democrats do about Trump?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats in control of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee hope that Robert Mueller’s testimony on Wednesday will boost their wide-ranging investigation of President Donald Trump, but it is not entirely clear where that inquiry is headed.

The panel, led by New York Representative Jerrold Nadler, has the power to start impeachment proceedings against Trump.

But Nadler is not among the 90 House of Representatives Democrats who have publicly said they favor initiating the impeachment process against the president.

Senior House Democrats, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are trying to hold back impeachment demands within the party, fearing a voter backlash in the 2020 election campaigns. If the House were to impeach Trump, it would then be up to the Republican-controlled Senate to hold a trial and potentially remove him from office.

Justice must be served NOW.

Holding back "fearing a voter backlash in the 2020 election campaigns" when in fact they might just get a much harsher backlash for not doing it. It is almost as if they want Trump to have a 2nd term.

Just judging from the rage and discontent coming from the Left, these hearings were a train wreck for the Dems. Similar to Election Day 2016: it started out confident and satisfied. Then ending up enraged and confused.

The whole thing is a political shit show.

Robert the Mueller is a confused, lazy figurehead. It was a good day. Robert Huntley is obviously distressed.

For those of you that didn’t watch these hearings, I congratulate you, your IQ just went up 5 points.

Poor WNU, he watched and took one for the team.

Mueller may have saved himself but Barr the Impaler is up next🇺🇸

You may be quite right Carpenter, but what did he save himself from? There could be many reasons he acted the way he did and I'm not sure I'm competent enough to divine which one is true. All very strange.

Jeffrey Epstein went to the White House 'several times' during the early days of Bill Clinton's presidency - even though the former president says he had only six encounters with the billionaire from 2002 onward

Okay great stay on topic retard.

Mueller was appointed by the Clintons

Hillary said in 1992 that, when you elect Bill, you get 'two for the price of one'

So in 2016, if you would have elected Hillary, you get Bill and Bill is a dirty, dirty boy.

The Dossier was paid for by The Clinton campaign (i.e Billary).

This whole Mueller investigation is a mud fight between the Clinton Inc. and Trump and Billary started it.

So what Bill does o his off time is germane.

Huffington Post presented an interesting article regarding Epstein and the lackadaisical and highly suspicious manner in which the terms of the sentencing were handled by all and sundry, especial the police. That suggests very strong support from extreme levels influence from the upper levels of society.

As for Mueller, he looks a guilty as hell and is avoiding saying the obvious. A fitting end to a less than stellar career, all things considered. The message however is out. Pity there is no power left in America to restore law and order.

RussInSoCal said...

Epstein appears to have had his ass beaten and near strangled to death whilst in prison.

And Trump sits comfortably in the plush White House.

Or more likely a suicide attempt.

I can't sympathize with Epstein. The suicide attempt is because he can no longer operate and has lost agency not because he has remorse.

IMO he should have married Ghislane Maxwell, skipped the other stuff, had 2 or 3 kids by her, and lived happily ever after.

I can't much sympathize with Mueller or Bob Huntley. They both have the same MO. They both set themselves up as paragons of virtue and they are both guilty as hell.

The biggest losers in all this are the Chinese.. For 2-3 years, much like our brain dead parrot and some of the slower thinking Democrats here, they hoped that DJT would be gone - "impeachment!" some of the more hysterical women screamed. "JUSTICE!" they scream too. You know how they are, them mobs.. their mob mentality..

just an eye opener to watch, who is what in 2019

and yeah, agreed. this game is cooked. they want trump to win. and the chinese (and several trillion dollars in added income) are the reason. Fuck Mueller, he is about as useful in all of this as the parrot

There are no doubt plenty who want to kill Epstein. Victims, general prisoners who like to beat up on all the newbies, general prisoners who really want to kill the child molester/facilitator, wealthy and influential customers who can't afford not to pay for the work because they definetly do not want to be identified as part of a plea bargain and prosecuted and past Presidents. Oh and don't forget the cops who failed to do their jobs, and miserably albeit profitably so.

Jack Rubenstein was never going to be allowed to be cross-examined and I doubt Epstein will either.

Bob Huntley said...

Epstein needs to have news released that his tell all book, with photos and video links is finished and will be released on his death.

Dave Goldstein said...

I'd give anything to see Epstein's vaults. Half the damn gov. would go to jail. Forever. What am I saying.. Epstein won't live long. The Klintons have a long reach

Birds of a feather all rubbing shoulders. Not a dark secret for some time now. A sentence read here, there. The solidifying rumors of the clinton patriarch. What a growing scandal. With Barr and the evil Trump there will be much more exposure I would think. Get out the band-aids, miss nancey p. Make'm heavy duty, sweetheart. So Bill Clinton lied.

I want the tapes to come out. Bill Clinton needs to go to jail.

In other news the Chinese diplomat was correct. Washington DC is a shit hole. Makes sense. It is run by the Democrats.

If you're in Washington, D.C., you know the white never go to the SW area, because it's an area for the black & Latin. There's a saying ‘black in & white out’, which means that as long as a black family enters, white people will quit, & price of the apartment will fall sharply. https://t.co/moasbuIq5X
