The Iranians have made an interesting choice of tankers to size. This will not proceed as the Iranians expect.

If Iran seriously strike Israel, Israel will roll down to Damascus from the the Golan heights and take many fewer casualties than in the 1967 or 1973 wars.
They might not actually take the capital, but rather raid it so as to not take heavy casualties. Whichever way it works out Assad will shit his pants.
