RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Right-wing Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro warned on Monday that his country could see a wave of migrants fleeing Argentina if a presidential election there returns leftist politicians to power, after their strong showing in a Sunday primary vote.

Bolsonaro has cast himself as foe to the left-wing leaders around Latin America and celebrated his friendship with Argentine President Mauricio Macri, who faces long odds of winning another term in October.

The Brazilian president singled out as a “leftist scoundrel” Argentina’s former president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the vice-presidential candidate on the ticket confirmed as front-runner on Sunday. He compared her to ideological allies from Cuban President Fidel Castro to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Speaking in southern Brazil, Bolsonaro warned it could soon see migration on par with the north of the country, where waves of Venezuelans have fled an economic crisis.

Update: Brazil's Bolsonaro warns of Argentina exodus after Macri defeat (AFP)

WNU Editor: The first flight from Argentina will be capital (which we are witnessing now) The second flight from Argentina will be the entrepreneurs and businessmen who make the economy work. The third flight will be the professionals, followed by the young who will look for better prospects elsewhere. The last flight of people from a country is everyone else. This is a playbook that I have seen so many times, and I can only hope that Argentina does not follow that path. But my gut tells me that Brazilian President Bolsonaro is right on this one, and that Argentina is going to repeat its history of electing Peronists and their economic policies of the past.

Sometimes people do not learn because the effect of the action lags sufficiently in time that they cannot see a cause and effect relationship.

How ever there is no log here. A leftists-liberal was elected and the stock market immediately tanked.

WNU laid out the process in 5 steps. I m must assume that liberals are ignorant, functionally illiterate, innumerate, lazy, or some combination of all of the above.

We've seen that in America where to many people keep themselves benighted by reading the NYT, TNR, Mother Jones, The Forward, Slate and other rags.
