China's armed police conducted a large-scale anti-riot drill on Saturday near the Hong Kong border as more than 10,000 paramilitary officers have reportedly amassed to wait for Beijing's command for a potential crackdown on protesters.
Latest footage released by Chinese state newspaper People's Daily shows rows of armoured cars and hundreds of determined police officers ready themselves in Shenzhen in southern China's Guangdong Province.
The new clip also shows military trucks fitted with water cannons taking on protesters played by actors.

The officer who shot Charles Kinsey was Jonathan Aledda. Aledda is an Italian (Sardinian) surname. Aledda looks dark, which could mean he is pure Italian or maybe he is 1/2 Hispanic. My point is I do not think this was racial.

Police get a report of a guy with a gun and the police see a guy with an object in his hands that does not obey commands.
I think the cop was nervous and/or made a bad call.

A lot of verbiage leading nowhere. Even the cop said he didn't know why he shot the guy but he did. It is what they do, shoot first, ask questions later, part of the training.
The fact is he shot the one he later claimed he was protecting. Aledda testified in his retrial that he thought Kinsey's life was in danger and that he was forced to fire at Rios, inadvertently shooting Kinsey instead.
An inept Keystone cop at best, only of the killer kind. And that is what is on the street generally.

What you do not understand is that all the stuff you posted just made my point. In the US when faced with what they consider to be a life and death situation the police revert to their guns. That is understandable but at times they do appear to be a bit paranoid and the overreaction I raised was a prime example. You would agree if you weren't wearing blinkers.
