Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif visited Beijing on Monday after a surprise appearance
at the Group of Seven summit in France over the weekend – a move highlighting China’s close relationship with Iran, which is in a stand-off with the US over its nuclear programme.
Zarif tweeted in the afternoon that he had arrived in Beijing after a stopover in Tehran. He said that he planned to present his Chinese hosts with a 25-year road map on the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership, which was signed in 2016, and that Tehran would actively contribute to Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative.

I suspect the editor is getting a cut out of this, no?
The editor does not get a cut, but I suspect that liberals who are down for the scruggle instantly peaked and entered a state of Nirvana, when they read "Chinese And Iranian Foreign Ministers Meet In Beijing."
I think the first anon made a joke about that porn dude post who spams this board. And I think the second anon @932 does not recognise a joke :)
I called it like last week @Iran and China
Currently it looks like this
250 nations in this planet
About 100 will stay out of it
130 or so are the western leaning alliance including places you would not expect unless you've been there. Vietnam will never align with China. Singapore will not align with China. All of SE Asia except north Korea and perhaps Laos/Myanmar will not align with China
Putin plays a stupid double game but Russians will not align with China
China is outmatched by far. India will for sure be for the western alliance. (That alone 1.2bn people+nukes and a solid army, space program etc) is a formidable enemy for China and they are almost at war anyways
we have about 100+ countries including USA, the NATO alliance but also places like Japan.. China is in rapid economic decline..has internal cultural unrests and a deeply detested party system. ..they will either turn inwards again as they did before for decades (which will mean an end to Xi) or they will attack a small unprotected place the international alliance won't fight for so the narrative and dynamic changes.
That's why everyone in Asia buys weapons like we are close to ww3. Because we might well be depending on china's next move and if they miscalculated our response. It must be small, limited and over quickly. Hong Kong does not help them one bit this is not what they want now...they need to demonstrate serious military power and workout embarrassment ...My guess is they will find some other spot where they can wipe out a small military without too many casualties for the other side. But their problem is that everyone expects this and prepares for it for years now. That's why Xi hasn't made a move yet. Despite losing the trade war and in a very public way which is not what the Chinese party leadership wants. This is not how the Chinese century was meant to begin. All looked so good on paper and even our dumb, almost treasonous cnn helped them. Along came DJT. Literally rewriting history for us to watch. And we attack him day in and out. Insane.
