UN Report: Agricultural Practices Are Leading To Climate Change That Is Impacting 500 Million People

UN News: World food security increasingly at risk due to 'unprecedented' climate change impact, new UN report warns

More than 500 million people today live in areas affected by erosion linked to climate change, the UN warned on Thursday, before urging all countries to commit to sustainable land use to help limit greenhouse gas emissions before it is too late.

Speaking at the launch of a Special Report on Climate Change and Land by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Geneva, experts highlighted how the rise in global temperatures, linked to increasing pressures on fertile soil, risked jeopardizing food security for the planet.

Let's see - No fossil fuels, no steel, no glass, No beef and no pork. And of course no cars and no planes either. Now we must needs starve ourselves to assuage ecopanicked Tranzies and Marxists at the UN.

This whole climate putsch is just another power grab. Pushed by super rich liberals in their Gulf Stream jets. Power mad hypocrites, all.

Hans,

Temperature will increase nor more than 1.5 degree C

The 'respected' academics say 1.5 C to 4.5 C. It has been 30 years and their models and so many predictions have been way off.

There is also a cost benefit analysis. Are you for bankrupting nations and while not really doing anything about an temperature rise.

Whether temperature rises 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, or 6 Sweden will be inhabitable and produce food unless you pave it all over.

If never made any sense for the US and Europe to cut emission and the Chinese and Indians to not only replace those emission but to double down. You can't tell people we must reduce emission by X or catastrophe and then let 2 or 3 billion people ensure that we never cut emissions by X. It does not compute.

China still runs on coal and will have as much or more coal power in 2100 as it does now.

These people are mostly mentally ill in the green movement. The sane ones are leading these Luddites for personal gain. Al Gore, sane, is such as example. He got rich leading the nuts with his error filled book. IPCC hasn’t got much of anything right in decades but it’s gospels to the masses of stupid, deranged and unstable who make up the green movement.

I used to believe the warming narrative. Still do. It's what the earth has done for a looooong time. To think I can change this natural phenomenon by altering my lifestyle is childish at best.
What changed my mind was this site; wattsupwiththat.com, and this English site; notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com. Then, of course, we have Al Gore. Thoroughly discredited snake oil salesman. And the two, not one, two jets needed to ferry the self-appointed savior of the known universe and beyond to the middle of the Pacific Ocean in order to beat a little white ball with a metal club. What a sacrifice, Mr. Barry. What a sacrifice.
