A reader who, in this day of blacklists, must remain anonymous, sends this observation about our soldiers in Afghanistan:
It's not unusual for the French to comment on anything American and normally in the negative. What is rare is a Frenchman saying something positive about Americans; in this case heaping praise on our soldiers in Afghanistan.

WNU Editor: This story reminds me of another story but from the perspective of a Taliban fighter. When captured and interrogated he remarked that the Taliban always knew that when they engaged with U.S. forces, the U.S. forces always went on the offensive and were relentless even when outnumbered. On a side note. My father who had years of combat experience during the Second World War always believed that the French Foreign Legion were the best soldiers in the world.

The US has had air supremacy everywhere US engaged its infantry since around 1944 so that makes taking the offense much easier. Still I've read many an engagement from Afghanistan where there was no air support or it came late in the battle. Same thing, take the offensive, out think the enemy and fire supremacy.

That relentless fighting even in bad situations (outnumbered etc) is the American training and resulting confidence, also confidence in tactics and equipment due to years and years and years of active combat experience.
In a fight between China and the US the US experience,training etc will outmatch China in many cases. Even Russians would be extremely nervous to have to fight Americans (and vice versa), but top dog seems to be the US for quite some time into the future. At least as the US is suddenly performing under Trump.. sure could always be better, definitely. .but you gotta give credit when its due too

Morally bankrupt and running for president.
I'd like to see her comments; before and after exposure of the real estate "deal".
In actuality it may have been a fixer upper. But I have a strong feeling she did OK and I'd put an industrial strength clothespin on my nose before I looked into the situation, knowing of her "native American past".

It was a fixer upper. There is that and it is a legitimate argument.
How much fixing can be done in 5 months?
Did she list it right away? If she did was it that bad?
She has been hit with the accusation before and she has not replied with proof that it was a fixer upper such as bills for repairs from various contractors.
We could take a home inspector or general contractor into the house to look for evidence of upkeep and repairs. It would be like archaeology. We could look at serial numbers, construction techniques and stuff to see if there were any repairs from the time that Lizzy 'owned' the house.
