WNU Editor: There is always a fine line between civilization and chaos. This part of the Bahamas is now gripped with chaos and desperation, and it is going to be like this for a long time.

Fine line for sure.
Same thing on Puerto Rico, these small islands are poor except for the rich tourist areas. Sad but those homes were not built to withstand a Cat 5 storm
From 2012 to 2014 the government was hostile to preppers.
Report Prepared for Obama’s DHS & DOJ targets Survivalists, Patriots & Conservatives as Terrorist Threats
Now the government says to prep. There could be a long time until help arrives after a hurricane, earthquake or winter storm. I have seen government agencies put out that families or individual;s should have 7 days of food on hand.
I have bought MREs and that is it for my prepping.

There are many types of preppers from liberal to conservative. However the media and the Democrats for a while made all preppers out to be kooks. Preppers have been around since before the 1970s. In the late 1970s and early 1980s there were already magazines on it. The pressititutes did not know, did not care and were ignorant.

If you prep chance are lessened that you maybe roaming the streets looking for food among desperate people. If you have enough, you might even share. If you have 7 days of food and at day 2 you here help will be there on day 3, you are going to share what you have.
Prepping is like fences. it makes for good neighbors.
there are assorted types of preppers. Some are indeed kooks. prepping for storms is smart. If you own property close to sea level and you live on an island or shoreline along the Atlantic, prepping might simply mean getting the hell to some other place to live
And Swedish media is somehow making this Trump's fault.
An additional problems with Puerto Rico were the poor infrastructure to begin with that had been decades in the making, the logistical challenges of getting aid into such an environment, and the massive corruption and incompetence of the Puerto Rican authorities. While the efforts of the US government including the Trump Administration were Herculean, bottom line hurricanes are nasty business that we do NOT wish on anyone. Even under the best of circumstances it is going to be very difficult. The challenges surrounding Puerto Rico made the difficult even more difficult.
200 mph....Love and thoughts with these people
