SCMP: Chinese scientists develop handheld sonic weapon for crowd control
* Gas-powered device passed for mass production after two years of research
China has developed the world’s first portable sonic gun for riot control, the Chinese Academy of Sciences said.
The rifle-shaped instrument, which was jointly developed with military and law enforcement, is designed to disperse crowds using focused waves of low frequency sound, the academy's Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry website said on Wednesday.
The device’s “biological effect” would cause extreme discomfort, with vibrations in the eardrums, eyeballs, stomach, liver, and brain, scientists said.
Studies dating to the 1940s found that low frequency sound energy could, depending upon intensity and exposure, cause dizziness, headaches, vomiting, bowel spasms, involuntary defecation, organ damage and heart attacks.

Yeah for sure. And you can also be sure that we will get to see the BACKLASH that will happen if Chinese do that to HK Chinese. They do not like being treated like regular Chinese. They still have this sense of freedom in them ;)
I only had 1 problem with Chinese police. After about 15 minutes of discussion they went away.
Problem is that there are not enough Chinese police. You should see the pictures of road accidents in places like Chengdu. Get to the bus stations and they have a whole display of vehicle accidents as a public service display.
Could this technology be behind the reports from our diplomatic personnel in Cuba of experiencing injury to the brain and other ailments from exposure to unidentifiable sound of a low decibel nature?

I don’t know what is in the whistleblower complaint, but it was clear to me that Ukraine officials were worried about the consequences of ignoring Giuliani’s demands. And of course they were. That’s why presidents shouldn’t have their campaigns talking to foreign leaders.

Surprisingly the reporting of this whistleblower story omits discussion of the whistleblower Reality Winner in prison for releasing publicly available facts on 2016 election. Maybe our government wouldn’t be so broken if we had made progress then to repair the imbalance of powers
