The Once-Detained Iranian Oil Tanker Adrian Darya-1 Is Near The Syrian Port Of Tartus

VOA/AP: Satellite Images Show Iran Oil Tanker Sought by US off Syria

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Satellite images appear to show the once-detained Iranian oil tanker Adrian Darya-1 near the Syrian port of Tartus, despite U.S. efforts to seize the vessel.

Images obtained by The Associated Press early Saturday from Maxar Technologies showed the vessel there.

Iranian officials haven’t acknowledged the ship went to Syria. The ship turned off its Automatic Identification System late Monday.

The new images matched a black-and-white image earlier tweeted by John Bolton, the U.S. national security adviser.

What a joke, they need to boot whoever accepted that Iranian letter of guarantee.

The US know where the tanker is.

The US have the means, capability of seizing the tanker.

The US chooses not to do so.

That, is very telling.

What it does is to tell the world that Iranians can not be trusted.
Instead of just boarding and seizing the boat, this is a better "I told you so" action.

Why didn't the US just take it with their Spec Ops?

As if the world needs to be told that the Iranians cannot be trusted.

That's sorta like saying, hey! ISIS are terrorists by the way, didja know?

"that is very telling"
what does it tell us then?
