If a Democrat had been the president at the time of this attack, morons here would babble non stop about liberals etc
I am a liberal. What took place was in large measure NOT the fault of the president but the usual turf war among and between intel organizations. We get this sort of turn war, no matter what system of govt there is--even Nazi Germany had this--and it is seemingly difficult to fix

Anon, I think another aspect of the attack was that most humans cannot conceive of the depravity of their fellow man. The schools in America; do they tell students of the gas chambers, the deliberate starvation policies of Stalin and chairman Mao, Pol Pot, and who knows how many others?
They didn't when I went to school. Looking at the liberal policies currently in vogue, I doubt they do now.
Carter learned the hard way. The prior occupant of the White House...'nuff said.

Your comments are accurate in my opinion. There certainly could be a larger sense of teamwork between agencies and it would help if this sense of teamwork existed to a greater extent BEFORE disasters befall a nation.

On another topic, I deeply resent the federal reserve's policy of financial heroin addiction, the artificially low interest rate. This is yet another subsidy paid by a large segment of societies that in essence exists because of growing rates of taxation for socialist policies.

Here....we'll give you low or non-existent interest rates on borrowed money to offset our increasing taxation, says the tooth fairy crowd infesting various legislatures. After all it only impacts savers. Impacts who? Savers? How do you spell that?

Once upon a time, if banks and savings and loans wanted more funds to loan, they had to attract those funds by interest rate levels. Ahhhh, but that was then. Now we have the serial interest rate manipulators; Greenspan and Bernanke, and others, who, with their educations, were still too ignorant to see a tech bubble or a housing bubble respectively, that came in part because of their manipulations.

Too big to fail equals "Screw up big, screw up small. We've got your 6."

Methinks we are doomed.

End of rant in response to DJT's interest rate comments.

Not sure which schools you refer to, ie, public schools or colleges. I ran a 14 week program on the Holocaust and speakers referred to genocides etc worldwide...the program was funded by our state and was free to the public.

1213,

Business Week said the same thing. Before it was Bloomberg's Business Week they had an editorial in the gold pages about 2/3rds of the way toward the back. It was on the the backside of the page.

They said that politicians like to increase taxes so that they had more money to spend. This squeezes people and makes them unhappy. So the offset was to increase the money supply so the dude has some money in his billfold to spend.

They were of the opinion that with the growth of credit that the credit pool was so large that the increasing the money supply would not help the politicians alleviate the squeeze.

There lever would be broken.

But after QE1, QE2, QE3 and twist are suppose to fill that void? It helps banks, but not Everyman.
