Daily Mail: Chaos Map shows where deaths caused by unrest over shortages of food, water or fuel has happened across the world since 2005 as authors say future will only be more violent

* The research team from Anglia Ruskin University plotted more than 1,300 deaths
* Conflict, uprisings, looting, riots and suicides were tracked across the globe
* Venezuela was the hardest hit by violent unrest in 2017 and suffered 92 deaths

Deaths from violent unrest are set to spike in the coming years, according to researchers who have produced a 'Chaos Map' which lays bare the fallout of devastating famines and droughts.

The team from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, plotted more than 1,300 deaths between 2005 and 2017 which were caused unrest sparked by natural resource shortages.

Conflict, uprisings, looting, riots and suicides were tracked across the globe and investigated to ascertain if they had been triggered by food, water or fuel insecurity.

The number of fatalities was also unearthed, and detailed on an interactive map where readers can compare how each country fared across the 12-year time frame.

Fuel shortages are caused by liberals.

Water shortages are caused by fuel shortages.

Lets cut to the chase and just state the obvious.

Liberals cause all shortages.

the comment above is about as dumb as one can get!
William Taylor, the acting boss of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Kyiv, told House investigators on Monday that he'd been told that Trump wanted to put Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy "in a public box." The testimony was closed-door, but his opening statement was obtained by some media outlets and confirmed by NPR.

If Zelenskiy committed openly that he'd launch the investigations Trump wanted, in support of Trump's aims for the 2020 election, that would secure military assistance and engagement with Washington, Taylor said he'd learned.

I suppose that when rats are leaving a sinking ship sometimes they have to bore out their own exits when one who wielded considerable power, like Bolton, does the right thing, others will follow rather than going down with at sinking ship.

Trump the business man, as opposed to being at minimum presidential, will see his
doomsday coming and negotiate with Nancy so he can leave with honor (as if he had any). The GOP already know how corrupt Trump is and will want save their brand and out of desperation will dump him to save themselves. That trend has already started.

With energy a person can make potable water out of saltwater.

Without energy they are fucked.

Democrats are doing the damn best to make energy expensive or unattainable. This is an undeniable fact.

Fact: Democrats are turning off the lights, oxygen machines, dialysis machines, and emergency services of millions of Californians.

Democrats are forcing people using the violence of the law to use electricity instead of gas. Then Democrats can TURN THE LIGHTS OFF ON PEOPLE ANY TIME THAT THEY WANT.

Kind of like "Total Recall".

TBH Democrats are working on turning off the gas for people from Detroit to Boston in the middle of winter during subzero temperatures. Democrats are that kind of putrid, sinful motherfuckers.

The gas fiascos are well engineered train wrecks brought to us by ... Democrats.

Dems hate everyone not them and they hate Dems on the lower rungs than them also.

A U.S. watchdog council has faulted a Justice Department legal memo that initially blocked the Ukraine whistleblower’s complaint, which sparked the impeachment investigation, from reaching Congress.

The memo was wrong in determining the matter wasn’t an urgent concern and recommended the memo be withdrawn or modified, the Council of Inspectors General said. The federal body of government watchdogs also found that the memo could have a chilling effect on other government whistleblowers.

The Justice Department’s opinion “could seriously impair whistleblowing and deter individuals in the intelligence community and throughout the government from reporting government waste, fraud, abuse, and misconduct,” the council wrote in a letter released Friday and signed by about 70 federal agency inspectors general. “Whistleblowers play an essential public service in coming forward with such information, and they should never suffer reprisal or even the threat of reprisal for doing so.”

President Trump criticized those who leak to the media or whistleblowers, suggesting they are spies who must be dealt with and that the conduct was treasonous. He has also insisted that the Ukraine whistleblower’s name be made public; the identity of the complainant still isn’t publicly known.

The lead signatory on the council’s letter, dated Oct. 22, is the Justice Department’s own inspector general, Michael Horowitz.

The letter rejects the argument made by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel that the whistleblower complaint didn’t meet the statutory definition of an “urgent concern” and therefore didn’t require transmission to congressional intelligence committees.

When you have a country that started as and claims to be a Republic, that is rule by law and when the "people" all of people of that country are precluded by their governments successive and current from seeking justice it is only a matter of time before that country devolves into either anarchy, or, that which it fought to extricate itself from a total oligarchy as in monarchy or dictatorship.

Before the next election and assuming Trump is impeached but cleared by the Senate before the next electi, a judicial process headed by the Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., he will continue on a President and be eligible to run in 2020.

If found guilty he will be removed from office, immediately as in fired but will still be able to run in 2020.

Whether Trump is found innocent or even guilty, if elected in 2020 it is possible the country could face another full term of him as President.

Assuming someone else becomes President in 2020 and works to restore the country to it early days of respect and honor (...) it will be a very long way back.

Keep in mind that from a "democracy" perspective it never was fair and was always manipulated, even from day one. Nevertheless, as first step a new President should take is to legitimize the voting process.

The United States' move to stop sending critical assistance to Ukraine appears to have extended further than just the suspension of a nearly $400 million military-aid package.
The Washington Post reported on Thursday that the US in late August withdrew its recommendation to restore some of Ukraine's trade privileges.
The report said John Bolton, then President Donald Trump's national security adviser, informed Robert Lighthizer, the US trade representative, that Trump would most likely oppose any policy that benefited Ukraine's newly elected government.
It's unclear whether Bolton gave the directive at Trump's order or whether the president was even aware of the conversation.
At the same time the US was said to withdraw its trade recommendation, Trump and his allies were involved in what has been described as a shadow campaign that leveraged US foreign policy to pressure Ukraine's government to launch investigations against the president's opponents.
