Los Angeles, Herald Mail Media: On eve of China’s 70th anniversary parade, President Xi says nation leads the world
BEIJING — The No. 1 rule for media attending a grand banquet at the Great Hall of the People on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China was: “Do not interview the guests.”
The only words to be reported at the vast banquet Monday evening were those of President Xi Jinping, the Chinese leader who has carefully carved out a cult of personality in recent years. He declared that China had caught up “in great strides,” and was now leading the world.
“We are now marching at the forefront of the times, with boundless energy!” said Xi. “Over the past 70 years the Chinese people, with perseverance and strenuous efforts, have made development and achievements that are the marvel of the world.”
He spoke on the eve of a parade designed to send a confident message that China’s military has modernized rapidly, amassing advanced military technology to rival U.S. power.
“The Chinese people are a great people, the Chinese nation is a great nation and Chinese civilization is a great civilization!” he said.

@Caecus yeah I bet they didn't show a video of Urdus in cocentration camps. Also, is it just me or is the entire media giving China a pass on this human rights violation? And also,why are not any Muslims protesting this? A million forced into these camps and now there's even videos of executions circulating but not sure if they're real. But still. .wtf is going on? Why is cnn/msnbc calling your president a Nazi while actual Nazi stuff happens in China 24/7 on a massive scale?
China is the most corrupt, brutal and inhumane regime in the world. They gained this power and status with the cooperation of President Bill Clinton and the Democrat Party. If President Trump is reelected, Chine may well collapse from within. If the Democrats win the 2020 US elections, China will recover and will bury the USA and the West.
