Jerusalem Post: Merkel’s gov’t says Iran’s call to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ not antisemitic
Wiesenthal Center and NGO Monitor slam Germany for ignoring Iran’s genocidal antisemitism.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government has declared that Iran's call to obliterate the State of Israel is not an expression of antisemitism.
On October 1, Merkel’s Foreign Ministry labeled the call to destroy Israel by commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Gen. Hossein Salami as “anti-Israel rhetoric.”
When the Post asked the Merkel administration if it agreed with the Foreign Ministry statement, a government spokesman told The Jerusalem Post: “We have nothing to add to the reply of the foreign office.”
The Post had specifically asked if Salami’s statements were antisemitic.

Merkel has just won this week's Maxine Waters Award for Stupidity.
TBH Merkel's statement is simpatico with what liberal dumb-ass professors and their mush minded students espouse. It is not surprising since Merkel at one time was a dumb-ass professor.
For a smart woman she sure is dumb. I wouldn't last ten minutes in Iran.
A liberal like Jay would argue with you. Superficially, it would seem like he has a winning argument. He would argue that thew Jewish community is thriving. Tat is they live, make a living and worship.
My Muslim neighbor talked about his father''s country of origin. Jews and Christians 'worship' there too. He noted that importing Bibles are banned. Can Christians and Jews print their own holy books internally for use of their congregations? How difficult is it? Is it monitored like hawk?
The most interesting thing this neighbor said was that the Hews and Christians were few and number and he liked it that way. If these people had growing populations such as 3 kids per family across the board or were increasing their percentage of the population look for pogroms in that Muslim country or Iran.
So the Jews in Iran are not so well off. They are tolerated so long they maintain the population or slowly decrease.

Before unification West Germany did not accept the validity of degrees from East German universities. The argument was that they had 30 hours or so of communist/liberal indoctrination instead of 30 hours of electives. I think electives are a joke anyway and are there not to round out a college grad, but as a jobs program for professors of disciplines that are not in high demand.
The liberal propaganda might have cut into coursework for core courses, too.
It is an interesting question whether Merkel is any good in her discipline. Maybe she is like Bernie sanders. He was a failed carpenter so he went into politics.
I know of the German situation, because I have an uncle from East Germany, who married into the family. He never worked in his major, but he made it big in California. California was great then, before the liberals took over and shit all over California.
Is Merkel smart? She might just be a parrot.
