President Trump Explains Decision To Withdraw U.S. Forces From The Syrian - Turkish Border

The Hill: Trump knocks 'ridiculous Endless Wars' amid US troop pullout from Syria

President Trump on Monday said it is time to remove the United States from “ridiculous Endless Wars" after he decided to pull back American troops from northern Syria amid an impending Turkish military operation there.

“The Kurds fought with us, but were paid massive amounts of money and equipment to do so. They have been fighting Turkey for decades. I held off this fight for … almost 3 years, but it is time for us to get out of these ridiculous Endless Wars, many of them tribal, and bring our soldiers home,” Trump tweeted.

“WE WILL FIGHT WHERE IT IS TO OUR BENEFIT, AND ONLY FIGHT TO WIN,” the president added.

Good move on Trump's part but counter to the war mongering philosophy. It will be interesting to see if some one other than Trump wins in 2020 if/when/how quickly the newbie gets back in.

America has no business going to war until the 5th columnists are defeated.

An Obamunist can use spec ops all day long every day, stretch them thin, and ruin their lives. Despite that your average knuckled dragging liberal barely notices until they get a fax, TPM, or a tweet.

Miss Lindsey Grahamnesty is not someone you stake a war effort on. It much more important to get Brennan, Biden and the rest of clown car behind bars and then look to defeat the external enemies that were helping them.

People, who are crying about Turkey now, have done squat the entire time that Erdogan rose to power since 1999. The chickenhawks such as yourself should have been seriously discussing kicking Turkey out of NATO or getting Erdogan out of power instead of kicking the can down the road and letting fate decide for them.

What I find bothersome about abandoning the Kurds and others is that we go into such situations half blindfolded to the realities of these situations. The "leaders" who get us into these costly endeavors are unimpressive starting with Lyndon Johnson in my lifetime.
This country and some allies have gone in hoping in the end a representative democracy will be the outcome. Instead we end up with a Maliki in Iraq. To me the world could use more Arab Springs wherein the dictators are eventually ousted by the citizens of the countries involved. These citizens are the ones who need our support. On the other hand, if a country's populace has known nothing but the self serving crookedness they decry, in the end that mindset seems to prevail. We certainly are experiencing this phenomenon here in our own country. Thank goodness we have a legal system with enough backing and tradition that eventually many of the Bernie Madoffs and assorted politicians are caged.

I do not like leaving northern Syria.

I live next to a Turk. According to him, Kurds are merely confused are 'Mountain Turks'. Meaning this guy will not be happy until the Kurdish language & customs are gone and the Kurds worship Allah the same way he does.

I do not trust 1/3rd of the Turks from Turkey to be anything but complete chauvinist assholes.

What I would like to see is a Kurdish state and after it exists for a while they could form some south of Muslim EU with Turkey, Iran, and others. But 1st I believe you need an independent Kurdistan.

The people, who have their panties in a knot (they actually enjoy it), are people who are ore concerned with power in America that on the general treatment of people around the world.

I have seen or heard form any of these Democrat or RINO morons any concern for Turkeys downwards spiral for the last 2 decades. None. theses goons are the most pious church mice I have ever laid eyes on.

Trump pulls out of Syria and it goes south, I won't like it, but I will still vote Trump. I am not a 1 issue voter.

I understand that Trump is going to cut the military budget. This is okay so long as you make certain material goals. You cannot have a budget deficit any more than a trade deficit. The man would be consistent.

The same people who want to cut the military budget because they see it as butter over guns, are the same flaming assholes that want us tied down in Syria without end while cutting the overall military and putting in harms way in any future P2P conflicts.

TRUMP
