Reuters: Season of discontent: protests flare around the world

Another day, another protest.

On Monday it was Bolivia - angry people clashed with police after the political opposition said it had been cheated in an election won by incumbent President Evo Morales.

Last week, the streets of the Chilean capital Santiago descended into chaos, as demonstrators enraged by a hike in public transport fares looted stores, set a bus alight and prompted the president to declare a state of emergency.

Earlier this month, Ecuador’s leader did the same after violent unrest triggered by the decision to end fuel subsidies that had been in place for decades.

And that was just South America.

WNU Editor: All these global protests have one thing in common. A distrust of government, elites, and a media narrative that people no longer believe in. And here is an easy prediction. It is going to get worse.

How does it explain the "Trump Cult" Bob? Are you trustful of government, elites and the pervasive media narrative?

2. the word always has less than pleasant conotations
3. try saying something, anything, without the toilet language that you overuse in your rebuke to someone

1.) Wikipedia is a decent enough source for issues that are noncontroversial.

2.) You are wrong.

Cult : great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (such as a film or book)

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cult

Also go argue with sociologists.

"In the sociological classifications of religious movement, a cult is a social group with socially deviant or novel beliefs and practices, although this is often unclear. Other researchers present a less-organized picture of cults, saying that they arise spontaneously around novel beliefs and practices."

The word 'novel' does not have the connotation of bad. Not unless the commie MLA changed it.

We have films that are cult classics. There ares no negative connotations with this meaning of the word. You used the world "always". All I had to do is find one concrete example to refute it.

3.) The person the language was directed-at fully deserved it. They were trying to indirectly, implicitly or whatever smear large numbers of people with basically an ad hominem attack.

I remember going to school in a foreign country. 75% of the school body were furriners with Europeans and others making up about 25% and the locals 50%. The locals had a problem with a Democrat President flying into their country and telling them, and the world how bad their country was. The idiot virtue signalling president is still around. These students said we know what s wrong with our country and we will fix it without some preening lib telling us that we suck all day, every day.

If there is a left-liberal criticism of the USA, Shithead has used it a million times, if he has used it once.

Sometimes shithead shrugs off criticism (most times) and sometimes not. However, I can see the compression set on his psyche. Shithead is not who he thinks he is.

As in everything the obvious is not so obvious to cult members.

"A distrust of government, elites, and a media narrative that people no longer believe in."

Explains also the Trump cult.

His cult is made up of white racists and they see Trump as giving the finger to the establishment, in some ways the elites, and of course the media, and glorify in it because he is the leader in a high place they have wanted for so very long.

From your posts you clearly do not appreciate that Trump has already given the finger to you as well.
