DW: Germany should stop aiding Chinese military, Amnesty warns

A top-secret military document shows that the Bundeswehr plans to train Chinese soldiers in 2020. Human rights group Amnesty International and activist Joshua Wong urged Berlin to take a stand over Beijing's record.

Human rights watchdog Amnesty International has called for Germany to cease its practice of training Chinese soldiers.

The organization's arms and human rights expert Mathias John made the plea in a conversation with German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, published Sunday.

"In light of the human rights situation in China and the general role of the military there, there is no justifiable reason for Germany to help train the Chinese military," John said.

But yesterday’s results again suggested that the costs of that intensely polarizing strategy may exceed the benefits. Republicans again suffered resounding repudiations in urban centers and inner suburbs, which contain many of the nonwhite, young-adult, and white-collar white voters who polls show are most resistant to Trump. If the metropolitan movement away from the Trump-era GOP “is permanent, there’s not much of a path for Republican victories nationally,” former Representative Tom Davis of Virginia, who chaired the National Republican Congressional Committee about two decades ago, told me.

Some in both parties see the results as more confirmation of the pattern from the 2018 midterm elections, when Democrats won a majority in the House of Representatives: Trump’s effort to mobilize his nonurban base around white identity politics is having the offsetting effect of turbocharging Democratic turnout in metropolitan areas, which are growing faster than Trump’s rural strongholds.

Media is worth 15 percentage points.

There has been an onslaught of propaganda and a continual coup. For awhile Brennan look worried about June, but when he figured that he wasn't going to face a firing squad, he became domineering again.

"Except Republican turnout was also up 200k votes and Edwards actually lost several rural counties to bring his margin to lower than it was last election."

So Edwards lost ground compared to last election.

"Pro life, pro 2A, backed by LSU coach, Long time DemocRat and politician squeaks out a win against a non politician Republican running for office the first time. Meh. Not too worried."

"It's merely a reflection of changing demographics-- and those changes are in large part due to decades of effort by the GOP establishment to flood the country with cheap labor for the benefit of their big business donors."

These are the comments I am seeing.

You really have to wonder about a political party like the Democrats that has to keep bringing in poor people to stay alive. Just like at some time the printing presses stop so dies the immigration.
