Zero Hedge: Leaked US Memo Confirms NATO Ally Turkey Pursuing "Intentioned Ethnic Cleansing" In Syria
Though Erdogan has never made a secret of his desire to redraw Syria's map of Kurds and Arabs via his Turkish military incursion in northern Syria, and in the months prior to his ordering the operation even made statements tantamount to an open policy of ethnic cleansing, it was surprising how easily the White House gave the green light a month ago despite Ankara's stated aims.
But now a leaked internal US government memo published by The New York Times spells it out clearly, and underscores the fact that everyone in Washington knows NATO's second largest military is now engaged in ongoing ethnic cleansing. The internal State Department memo states bluntly the Turks are conducting "an intentioned-laced effort at ethnic cleansing".

WNU Editor: Turkish President Erdogan has been very blunt that his goal is to resettle 3 million Syrian refugees in Turkey to this part of Syria that has been home to the Kurdish population for generations. If that is not ethnic cleansing, then what is? The complete leaked memo is here .... Read the Memo by a U.S. Diplomat Criticizing Trump Policy on Syria and Turkey (New York Times)

Un gross Faux Pas.
Krauthammer also reports that
Even Mesrob Mutafyan, patriarch of the Armenian community in Turkey, has stated that his community is opposed to the resolution, calling it the result of domestic American politics.
Some things left too long are best left altogether.
November 2nd, 2000 was the last day that all living humans were together on Earth.
wow! guy Inside Turkey opposes...of course. He is in Turkey...ask Armenians in our nation!
it is documented...simply google...it was political NOT to name it genocide as it is both political and accurater to name dit for what it is
Bob ...slavery and the civil war did not take place...that was in the past. forget it...WWII in the past...my parents are also in the past...the past is never gone
Anon
I wasn't denying it but if the USA was unable to find the heart and maybe the courage to recognize the Armenian genocide at the time, or, anytime soon thereafter, doing it now is somewhat irreverent, particularly in the light of its own genocidal atrocities committed against the native peoples of America. Keep in mind that not taking issue at the time an atrocity is being committed generally amounts to providing tacit approval.
At this point it only serves to distract from the Turks committing yet another atrocity, this time perhaps with the direct approval of the USA.
Shyster Bob,
Has Canada Committed genocide against the 1st Nations?
I believe so. What does that have to do with the issue at hand other than to serve as a deflection for you.
Other posters don't mention the Canadian Indians as much as you do the American Indians.
You're the pot calling the kettle black.
BTW do you approve of the Fort Mim Massacre?
You approve of killing métis?
CHUDS now turn on Bob to distract from the fact the GOP/Trump will not call Turks genocidal in what they did to Armenians...as for Canada, and US and native Americans, you need to get a grip on what the germ genocide means. It does not simply means lots of people killed somewhere at sometim e.
I have a feeling that the Syrians in Turkey are not there by choice and should Russia and Assad ever rebuild what has been destroyed the refugees will move back to their original land and leave their tents that will be their new homes in Kurdish-Syria to the Kurds.
Russia will be pressured to deal with Erdogan's land grab in N. Syria? Assad cannot. It's not as if Erdogan's forces couldn't have established a secure border in Turkey and not invaded.
I'm not holding my breath.
