U.S. negotiators have today broken off talks with South Korea over the cost of America's military presence there.
The talks in Seoul broke down after both sides accused the other of refusing to compromise on the cost of keeping 28,500 U.S. troops on the peninsula as a deterrent to North Korea.
South Korean officials said there was a 'substantial difference' between the two sides while U.S. negotiators said the Korean proposals were not 'fair or equitable'.
President Donald Trump has demanded that South Korea pay more and previously said the U.S. military presence was '$5billion worth of protection'.
